    My 2000 Toyota ****** failed a smog test in Jan. '22 with ONE code of *****, the check engine light occasionally came on, but still running just fine. We brought it to Cal Oaks Auto on 2/28/22 for a diagnosis. They told us they thought the problem was an intake manifold gasket and recommended to replace it for $297. After fixing that, they called and said we need new fuel injectors, which seemed odd. The receptionist said "My owner has offered to replace 2 fuel injectors out of our own pocket, and if it doesn't work then you wont have to pay for them. But if it does work, then we would charge an additional $200 for the cost of the fuel injectors, but we would not charge you labor for them." We became suspicious that they broke our fuel injectors, but weren't admitting it. So I told them not to do anymore work and that we would just pick up the car. She then told me the owner will just put back in the old fuel injectors. I picked up the car on 2/2/22 and paid the $297. As I drove it onto the freeway ramp, I was unable to accelerate past 40mph, and had 18 wheelers honking at me. It was a terrifying experience. The car was shaking, black smoke was coming out of the exhaust at times, and the check engine light was blinking like crazy the whole ride home. My husband checked the fuel injectors when I got home and they had loose green and purple O-rings, which were tight and black when we brought it in. We then rechecked the codes and now it is reading ***** and misfire codes *****-*****, for a total of 6 codes, not one. I want at least a refund, and I want them to pay to fix my car, as I can't even drive it now. I don't trust them with my car anymore. I called Cal Oaks Auto that day and told them. At first, the receptionist told me the owner agreed to refund me, but she was not able to email me a receipt of refund. Then she called me back and told me the owner is no longer allowing me a refund and is too busy to talk to me, that he could call me next week.

    I brought my car in for AC Repairs on Nov.7, 2022. By Nov.21 I contacted this place of business to bring my vehicle back because I noticed that my Air Conditioning was still not working properly. Told me to bring it back, made an appt., and brought my car back on Dec.01. After they looked at it I was told that my compressor is now broken and had to pay an additional $$ to fix it. I questioned the owner and ask why do I need to pay more when I already paid to fix my AC. I'm bringing my car back to let the business know that the service I paid for is not complete because my AC is still not working. The owner(Denise) immediately gets an attitude and is questioning me asking why did I wait long to take it back if the AC is not working? It's been less than 30 days from the time this business supposedly worked on my AC. I have filed a dispute against the charges through my bank account and I plan to take legal action because I paid for a service and this company did not complete it and they are not willing to work with me to do the right thing. I will never bring any of my vehicles here again and hopefully for anyone who is reading this review I do not recommend this shop at all. The co-owner (Denise) has no customer service skills, she is rude, talks over you, and is disrespectful.
