The service dept is rude and horrendous! The sales dept is great but forget it if you have to deal with service. I had a 2018 dodge challenger that was diagnosed by a reputable auto service co. Because it was under warranty with only 52000 miles I took it to repair at San Bernardino Moss brothers. I was told that I had to leave it and they wouldn’t get to it for at least 3-4 days, even though I was confident in the diagnostic they had to do their own which was fine but then he told me it might not be covered. I was shocked, asked why , he said the dent ( had been there for 3 years) might have something to do with it. What??!! A rental car wasn’t covered so without a choice I went to wait on the van with my granddaughter trying to figure out how I would go to work and take her to school. A salesman conveniently appeared and I ended up getting another dodge without really wanting to but not knowing how long I’d be without a car and that I might have a gigantic repair bill on the other one my warranty covering it. The new car payment was astronomical and gas mileage was 12.5 mpg, after 1 1/2 months I went in to see if I could trade it. They had a car I could trade it for and I thought my payments were lower but I received my pmt amount from the finance company and it wasn’t . I still had a little down to pay but that also was also higher. I tried to contact someone in finance but never received a call back. Instead I got a collection letter for a higher down pmt amount. This is my 3rd car purchase and I’m stressed and frustrated. I used to think they were a great dealership but their service dept is scandalous. I had no idea they would tell me my warranty might not cover the repair, I’m a woman who knows nothing about car repair, I made a decision based on a scamming repair representative, and now I have a higher car pmt with a collection letter. Don’t go to Moss Bros!!!Review from T. P.

I came in last month to purchase a car from them and was approved for the vehicle we decided on.They decided to wait a about 3 weeks before telling me I was driving around in car I wasn’t approved for.I’ve never heard of anyone being able to drive off from a dealership and hasn’t been approved by a bank yet to take the vehicle.I was first told I needed to come in and redo the paperwork for the vehicle I was told I was approved for but that wasn’t the case. The only reason they wanted me to come in was because I apparently wasn’t approved for the car that they let me drive off in.I was told I would have to pick another car and take back the car I traded in until they could find me another vehicle that I could be approved for. Before I left I was told by in the morning they would have a answer for me No one called me the next morning I had to call them. When I called no one knows anything of what I’m talking about then all of the sudden theyre working on it and need me to send my paycheck stubs in again and I would also need a co-signer.I was able to do that and was told they were working on getting a Honda Civic. The next morning I was told I was approved for the Honda, I was sent pictures of the car also.I was then informed that all I needed to do was come by the dealership and sign paperwork and I’d be good to go.I drive to the dealership when I get off of work just to find out the car was sold and no one knows what I’m talking about. Now I have to wait most likely until Monday to get my money back and who knows how long for my title because they sent it off to be processed.I don’t even know why my title was sent off if I wasn’t even approved for a car yet. They definitely were not trying to help me get into another car and it would have been nice of them to be honest about everything instead of giving me the runaround. They made me feel as if I was inconveniencing them and didn’t want to deal with me at all. This the worst experience Ive ever had with a car dealership.Moss Bros Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram San Bernardino Response

They are a scam. I took my vehicle for repairs that warranty covers. I was never updated on the status. They over charged me for repairs that were covered under my warranty , they had me use the Sunbit credit to get them paid and I stuck with the bill. I never got response back from advisors or management . And now I’m seeking to file legal lawsuit for the wrongdoingsMoss Bros Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram San Bernardino Response

Moss Bros Dodge Ram and Jeep location off E Street in San Bernardino is a place to stay far away as possible. I took my vehicle for inspection on a unlimited extended warranty by Mopar. After 3 weeks my repair needed was denied by Mopar. I had to pay $1300 for diagnostic. Miss Bros stated a new engine (16,000) was needed and that Mopar denied the claim. My contract when l purchased the vehicle shows a lifetime warrant. To this date I have not received a written explaining on denial of repairs. My contract clearly states it is covered. I took my vehicle to a local repair shop and was informed a replacement of engine was NOT needed. The issue was overheating. A new radiator and fan was replaced and engine runs well with no other issues. I then contacted Ontario Dodge Ram and Jeep (where l purchased vehicle and $3400 life time warranty). The service director was unable to assist with the warranty they sold me. I’m now being told that Mopar will not honor services on any other parts. Dodge Ram and Jeep sold this Mopar contract and is not being honored. Word to the wise. “It’s not what they say that matters it’s what the law says.” Be cautious when they sell you a Extended Warranty. In the meantime, I ll be seeking legal advise for breach of contract, false advertisement and failure to diagnose.Review from Cassondra

The service department is horrendous. I never received updates on the status of my vehicle. I had to call to inquire but rarely got through which meant making multiple calls throughout the day. I had my car there for almost a month made a call to complain about the wait and they finished the job within a few hours. Why did it previously take so long, I shouldn’t have to complain. I was glad to have my car back but then I got home and noticed the antenna was missing. My car had been at the dealership for the month. I also wouldn’t have wasted my time going back and arguing about the missing part if it was my fault. The service manager told be to calm down when I was simply standing up for myself instead of being walked over. They wanted me to come back and forth with a receipt in order to be refunded. That is a waste of my time for something that was not my fault. Poor service. Will never go here again and do not recommend it. You are better off going to a small shop and paying a little more.Review from Alberto M.

Bought the dream car, salesperson at the time was great and made it easy to buy. However, ever since I did- it has been a nightmare. I have owned mazda, honda, chevrolet, and audi. But buying a jeep grand cherokee was a dream and I totally regret it. I tell everyone I know not to buy Jeep and not to buy specifically from this dealership. The service department is horrible! I have worked in sales and customer service and let me tell you- they are not working up to the Moss Bros. expectations. This company was founded on a great concept- but if they want to keep this look, this service department needs some serious changes. My jeep is now 5 years old. The doors crack and pop so harsh when opening and closing- they quoted me at $800+ to replace the parts of 2 of them. I asked why this was since I have other vehicles, including a truck, that do not do this and are older. Service advisor said it was due to the weight of the doors and the way the jeep was made- the issue is common and our problem to fix. I have had to replace the entire transmission. The sixth gear was not working. They also fixed this- but it took over a month- a few days away from 2 months. The process was not easy, FCA was called, and it was just a bad experience. During COVID and during the holidays- I was left without my vehicle. I have had to replace the antenna. They told me it was due to taking it to the car wash too much. They stated it was a common problem. Now, one good thing out of this was that when I bought it. I was guaranteed free oil changes for life. In the past 5 years, I have had to argue with many advisors who attempt to tell me that I do not have that free service- then when they look into it, they "honor" it. I have asked to see documents or papers on what is needed to stay in the program and how do people get "taken off". No one has this document or information. The only suggestion I get is to keep up with the jeep maintenance and I have always done so. No other dealership has ever worked on my vehicle. So every time I schedule the oil change- I have to mentally prepare to discuss and argue my point. The service department also manipulates their paperwork and that is EXTREMELY concerning. I once again have the check engine light on my vehicle. I took it and signed to be charged the $189 fee, I also noted in my appointment and with the service advisor that I was concerned with the transmission again because of the 5th gear pull this time. After 4 working days, many attempted calls and messages- no one was getting back to me. At one point one of the service advisors said "Oh yeah I see here they are working on it" to which I asked, "What are they working on? I haven't agreed to any work nor I have heard back about what was the problem or the check engine light diagnostic." From there, he followed up with I will have the service advisor call you and never did. So I decided to pick up my vehicle. No one had touched it nor worked on it. The manager told me it was because they are too busy. When we got home, we quickly noticed a nasty smell. We opened the hood and sure enough rat pee and poop all over the motor! I took pictures and since then have been trying to get ahold of someone to discuss this matter- I left voicemails but no one has called back. So now I am still with a check engine light on and fearful to drive it. I called FCA again in regards to this matter, then they told me that the manager said I did not take it in for a check engine light! i was shocked and said- I signed a paper, what do you mean? So there is a clear manipulation of paperwork. Very scary to know they have such access and there is no transparency with their customers. It is sad to see such a prestigious company treat their customers this way. It is unfortunate when one is willing to pay extra and then to see rat droppings all over. Please ensure this does not happen to others. Live up to the company expectations and their motto as to why they have a successful business. I understand my vehicle is 5 years old- but it was well over $60k and it is unfortunate to have so many problems. I wish there was someone to reach out to and go over this with them to find a solution. Please do not make the same mistake, just buy elsewhere.Moss Bros Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram San Bernardino Response
