A recurring leak in Unit ** remained undetected and unresolved as of Jul 6/21, when there was a discussion with Central Roofing about having another contractor take over. In reviewing the historical invoices for this unit over the last 2 years, we found that Central Roofing crews attended to 16 leak calls from May 9/19. Although the invoices detail various repairs being made at the time of each call out, the repairs failed to correct the water leak and the common wall has been badly damaged due to the leak. While the ***** of ********* appreciate the inherent difficulties in sourcing an EPDM roof leak, and Central Roofings responsiveness to the call outs, we are concerned we have spent $*****.00 and still have the same roof leak. When a leak call was made it was our expectation that a solution would be provided with workmanship warranty. One of the board members had a discussion with Central Roofing that if the leak was not repaired, there would not be a **** as the corporation was already billed multiple times for the same leak issue. Similarly, an amount of $*****.00 was billed for ******* & ** for a recurring problem even though this area was inspected and repaired by Central Roofing for a leak back in May 2019 as part of the $*****.00 general roof repair scope.Amount spent:The total invoiced amount by Central Roofing for last 2 years was $******** for this condominium building. Resolution:A letter was sent to Central Roofing on Aug 9/21 asking for consideration of a reimbursement of $*****. A reply was received on Sep 17/21 advising that they believe they repairs made were required to eliminate a potential source of leakage even if they did not resolve the leak and that they would not be offering a refund.
