In 2019 Abby ********************** re-shingled our roof, replaced all the soffits, replaced the troughs and downspouts, and installed aluminum cladding on the fascia. At the same time they also built us a garage. All work was warrantied for 5 years. In September of this year some of the cladding came loose and is hanging ready to fall. The house borders an alley with a significant amount of foot traffic including children going to and from school and people walking their dogs to and from a dog park, and as such poses a potential safety risk. It is clear from looking at the cladding through binoculars that it was not sheared away by the wind, rather it simply came loose. On September 28th I contacted the business owner ***** to inform him of this defect and the potential public safety risk. I sent him close up photos of the loose cladding clearly showing it hanging and not deformed from wind shear. There is additional cladding that appears in the pictures to either be slipping loose or to be installed incorrectly. These are also in the photos provided to *****. Since then I have contacted him numerous times including text messages and email messages. He has generally though not always responded. He has never said he would fix it at all, he simply keeps saying things like "maybe this weekend" or "possibly tomorrow". These are direct quotes. He has had a variety of reasons and excuses as to why he hasn't been able to get somebody out here with a ladder and simply s**** the cladding back on properly; seems like it would be a simple and quick fix. In the end though he has done nothing and the cladding is still hanging there, and it is still a potential safety risk to my wife and myself, as well as the pedestrians using the alley.
