    I had gone to eastside kia second week of september 2023. I wanted the Kia ******** xline limited. They told me they had one coming end of september and they could even fast track it to September 22. They said I needed to put a deposit to get a chance for it even before my credit for checked for financing as the car sells even before it arrives. My biggest mistake was putting that deposit down. September 20 I had a huge family incident happen that requires me to go to my home country for a long period of time to deal with the issue. I talked to the dealership and sales consultant *********************** about the issue to get my deposit back before september 24 as that was the day of my flight. He said the sales manager and general manager will need to discuss this. I was even called down there on the September 23 to talk about it but ******************* (sales manager) nor *********************** (general manager) refused to talk to me. If the car had arrived that day I would have taken it. Since the car hadn't arrive and I was leaving the country for 1 year + i asked for the deposit back. They said they still need to further discuss with accounting. I had given my friends contact so he could go pick up the deposit after I was gone. They called him down to the dealership specially just to tell him they won't give it back. They are willing to wait till I am back. This makes me think they just wanted to pocket the $1000 for themselves. They are the most inconsiderate and unprofessional dealership I have dealt with. If they do not give my deposit back and the exact car with exact same vin is not there I will be filing a lawsuit for unlawfully holding deposit for a car they sold. If the ** or sales manager does read this think deep in this situation was it worth not giving my deposit back, it was given as I was told the car sells too fast and I asked for the deposit back due to an unforseen serious event.

    This has been the most stressful vehicle purchase I have ever experienced. Originally ordered a car with one Kia dealership in March and that was a lot of misinformation and salespeople who didn't know what they were doing. I went to Eastside Kia and there was still a long wait for the car I wanted. Instead, I purhased a used vehicle (not a Kia) from Eastside and it has been nothing but bad customer service since then (March 2022). This car has had sensor issue after sensor issue...all under warranty but a real hassle and inconvience by bringing it back time after time. In a two-month span, I was in the warranty-approved service shop 8 different times for a total of 16 days. This is not acceptable. Eastside Kia knew I was having problems but at no time did they check up on me or offer me a solution. I finally called around August 7th or 8th to ask for a meeting. I sat with 2 used car managers and they gave me a lot of talk and a few solutions...then nothing for 3 weeks. (I also found out that they called the warranty-approved dealership where I was getting my vehicle serviced to find out if I was actually in there as many times as I claimed...nervy!) I had to call back and spoke with another manager on Thursday morning of August 25th and he said he would get back to me around noon....today is almost end of day Monday August 29th and still have not heard anything from Eastside Kia. I feel they don't care if they lose me as a customer because it is not a Kia that I bought from them and I seem to be rocking the boat and I guess they don't need to work hard for customers these days...cars are walking themselves out the door. I don't recommend Eastside Kia if you are buying a car, the customer service is lacking and where there is any, it is flimsy and their sales people are not trust-worthy.
