1 starMy Wave card was compromised (somewhere), and they froze it. I was never informed why. Additionally, they want photos of bills with my address to issue a new card. I have over $500 of spendable funds on that card. They will neither transfer it or unfreeze the card. Now, they stopped answering my support requests. * *** * **** **** *** ****** ** * *** ******** *** *** * *** **** ** * **** **** * ***** ****. It's been 3 months and no movement from Waves. Can't close my account, can't get my money. And why penalize the customer with hoops to jump through to prove who I am? They've been using my money for over years and NOW they want proof of who I am? I switched to another card/invoice processor and will never recommend Waves to anyone.Review fromRichard S

1 star** * ***** **** **** ******* **** **** * **** * ****** Like other online accounting systems, Wave allows you to create and track invoices for your clients. It also allows your clients to pay those invoices electronically for a small fee. WATCH OUT. Wave Financial holds your funds for long periods of time, without any explanation about why funds are on hold. In my case, my regular client paid by *** on 8/3, the check cleared their bank on 8/4. One week later, and the transaction is still stuck in 'PROCESSING'. There is no customer support phone number, there is no explanation. WAVE WITHHOLDS YOUR FUNDS WITHOUT RECOURSE. There is no phone number to call, there is no help. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU WANT TO GET Paid!!! You may pay a little more for ********** Online up-front, but at least you get your money.Review fromSamir J

1 starI have been using Wave for 6+ years, and recently enabled credit card processing. I tested out the system using my own personal credit cards (ate the fees) but wanted to ensure that it worked as expected. Yesterday, I sent an invoice to my client (17K), * *** ***** *** * **** **** ******* ***** **** *** they paid it using ****. Today, I got an email from Wave that my payments processing is under review and they needed more information including an ID check. Within an hour, I have completed all the necessary paperwork and sent them the information requested including personal information (utility bills, etc) that they requested and copies of client communication "proving" the invoice paid is for legitimate service. I tried to call the Wave HQ Office, and there is no phone directory and no extensions in their email signatures in order to reach them promptly. I just cannot reach them, and they are in a different time zone. After reading the reviews here, I am second guessing their service *** ****** **** ****** **** ****** ** ********** ******* *** ****** ** **** *** ***** **** *** **** ** *** ******. The fact that they cannot be reached over the phone is a huge issue, and I hope my funds are put on hold like all these other reviews show. ******* **** *** *** ******* *** * ** **** ********* *** **** *** *** *** *** *** ** ******* ******* **** *** ********Review fromZora K

1 starI began using Wave in November 2022 to accommodate clients who wanted to pay via digital invoice. I paid Wave 3% on each transaction. On March 13, 2023, I received an email from a "risk analyst" saying that I would no longer be able to accept payment through the platform and that payments that were currently processing were being refunded. Wave told me that they did not have to provide a reason why, even though I had not violated any of their terms and conditions. I requested a phone call and was told I would be called on March 14, and then again on March 16. I never received a phone call. On March 16, multiple clients were sent "reminders" that their invoices were overdue. These were clients who had paid already their invoices, then had them refunded. Over the course of this week, I have had to explain to my clients that I was no longer permitted to accept payment through the platform, and they had to re-pay me through another platform. Then, I had to clear up confusion regarding the "overdue" notices. This makes me appear unprofessional--it reflects poorly on me to waste my clients' time--but this is not my fault.Review fromEllen M

1 starI have used Wave for several years. In October, it stopped importing transactions. After two weeks of working with the Chat support because I can't find the phone support, I am told that this is *****'s problem not Wave's problem and I have to download my statements. 1 starThey have stolen our clients money. They claim they are sending it back to the client but won’t tell us which clients they are sending the money to or how much they are sending them. And they haven’t notified our clients that the funds are being returned. ** ******* ** ** ******Review fromJessica L.

1 starI have been using wave for accounting purposes for 1 year. After many customer requests to take credit cards, I decided to try waves credit card acceptance online. I tested it to my personal account for a penny and it went through without any issues. I spent a whole day accepting credit card payments from customers. Wave sent me an email 2 days after the date I used the credit card payment service stating they will no longer allow my account to use their credit card services and all of the transactions will be refunded to the customers. I searched for a customer service contact to which there was none on the website unless you paid for another service which I don’t. I replied to the email, they stated my account won’t be allowed to take payments and gave me no reason. I went back and forth in email with no resolution on their end. I am just out a full day of payments received with no apology or explanation. They didn’t make it clear they could or would do this on their website and frankly they screwed me out of a very busy day of payments. I am additionally out my time and costs of products I cannot recover. ** *** *** ***** **** *** ************** *** **********. I still was never given a reason besides because we said so.Review fromGordon C

1 starWe’ve used them for the last few years, we are now going to **********. Over the last year wave has held bank payments for 10 business days and now has cut off our credit card payments out of nowhere! We received an email saying any payments that were not transferred to bank since they hold card payments for 3-5 days will be sent back to customer. At the moment we have customers missing over $20, 000 dollars that was supposedly refunded to them. You can not call them all they have is robo chat.** *** **** ****** **** **** **** ****** *****. We are showing over $5500 just in their “fees”.
