            On Tuesday April 6th 2021, 669-Heat installed a ductless air conditioner in our home. At the outset of the job the installer clarified the location of the unit. It was confirmed with the installed that the unit be installed above the television, centered to the television for esthetics. I work from home and was in the house all day. As I heard him packing up I came downstairs to find the unit installed incorrectly - about 5 inches off centre and very noticeable. The installer acknowledged that the install was not centered. He stated that the centre on the template was not the centre. When I questioned this he then stated that it was his first time installing this model and agreed when I stated - so you made a mistake in measuring. He acknowledged that he made a mistake in measuring but at no time during he install notified me of this. I was working at home the entire day. I was polite and told them that mistakes happen but that I wanted the installation corrected before I paid. The installer then called the manager (*****) to come to the house. ***** came to the house, did some measurements and then suggested he could move the TV to make the installation look centered. I declined as the TV is where we want it to be in the room. After some discussion about what it would take to move the unit we could not come to agreement and the installer and manager left and said they would talk to the business owner. As my husband was out of town and not returning for two days we agreed to follow up on Friday April 9th. They agreed also to take $150 off the price of the product and installation. On Friday April 9th ******* *****, another representative from 669-Heat and an installer came to the home. It was apparent very quickly that ******* did not want to help us fix the problem but that he was there to get payment. My husband (who is an engineer) discussed what would be involved in moving the unit. ******* was trying to discourage this. He stated to my husband that the hole drilled was beside a double stud and therefore moving it would cause it to be off centre in the opposite direction.. When I asked how he knew that (I saw the hole in the wall, it was beside a stud yes but you could not see the other side of the stud to see whether it was a double stud - and in discussion with the original installer on Tuesday, he indicated that it was one stud when we were discussing options for correction) ******* became rude and asked me if I was questioning the integrity of his employees. I told him that I was lied to already so that yes, I did question the integrity of the employees. The first lie was by the original installer who said the centre on the template was not the centre - trying to make excuses for his error. Plus I now had conflicting information from the first installer who indicated there was a single stud and ******* who said he was told there was a double stud. At that time ******* became aggressive and as I was speaking was speaking over me. I asked him to let me finish and to please not speak over me. At that point he became threatening - threatening to take us to court and to come and remove the unit. At this time we asked him to leave. He continued to talk, repeating that he was going to take us to court etc. We had to ask him several times to leave before he and the installer left our home. On Monday April 12th my husband received a call from ******* *****. He stated he had spoken with the owner. The owner asked if it was a good install - ******* told him it was - they seemed to discount that fact the unit was installed in the wrong place. ******* told my husband that he had two options - 1. to pay the bill or 669-Heat or 2. he would take it "to the next level". We payed the bill and are reaching out to the BBB for a remedy.
