    In April 2025, I requested a quote from Cozy Comfort Plus Inc. for a multi-zone ductless heat pump system. The company sent a representative for a thorough three-hour on-site consultation. Following that, I received a detailed written quote for $24,182.00 (including HST), with a 30-day validity. After reviewing several other bids, I informed Cozy Comfort that theirs was the most competitive and that I was ready to proceed. Shortly after disclosing this, however, I received a revised quote with a higher price. I was told the change was due to an “oversight” in listing the outdoor unit. No explanation had been given during or after the site visit, nor was any change requested by me. The revision came only after I had made my intent to proceed clear. Before this change, I had raised technical questions about cooling performance. In writing, the company assured me there would be no added cost if adjustments were needed. This assurance influenced my trust in the offer. The subsequent price increase directly contradicted that commitment. I ultimately chose not to proceed with Cozy Comfort, not due to product concerns, but because of the loss of trust caused by the unexpected post-commitment repricing.
