    Sometime in January I answered a ******** ad for solar heating systems. I spoke to ***** ******* from Xolar and was rold that a deposit of approx. $6600 was required to begin the process. Since I have limited means I borrowed the money and sent xolar a transfer. I subsequently learned they could not do anything unless I had a new roof installed and I was not elegible for the federal ****** I decided I could not go through with this as the expense was too great and then asked for a refund. They have refused this and I have no recourse but this process.

    The customer cancelled and asked for a refund of his down payment. 

    In our terms, his deposit would be refundable if his application was rejected by the Greener Homes Loan program. 

    We asked him to provide proof that his application was denied, which he never provided us. When a customer is rejected from this program, they receive a message stating that their application was rejected and why, which we ask clients to screenshot and send to us, and upon receipt we would process their refund within 30 days. 

    JR never bothered to send us the proof, so we can only assume he was not telling the truth about being rejected and just wanted his money back.

    I am rejecting this response because:I don't feel their reply is legal or justifiable.  No proof was required for them to accept my money so no proof should be required for a refund.  A reputable group would refund the deposit so as not to be thought of as scammers or thieves.

    The Customer signed a purchase agreement which is attached.  Inside the purchase agreement, the cancellation policy states that we will not perform any work for 10 days cooling period, giving the customer time to back out without incurring any costs.  After the 10th day, we begin work and the down payment becomes non refundable.  This is because we take on substantial costs and invest time and resources into each project doing site inspections, designs, engineering.

    Xolar promised to install solar panels. Panels have yet to be installed. They are sitting in my driveway we paid for product and installation. The company keeps saying they will get back to us but they never do.

    Company refuses to complete project And wont return emails anymore

    JP's system has been installed for over a year, this complaint was resolved directly with the customer long ago.
