Company was suppose to consolidate my credit cards and loans. Was told I have to pay a processing fee of $1000. Now company is out of business and I can't get ahold of them to return money. Nothing was done on their end except for take the money.Initial Complaint

I paid them two hundred and sixty two dollars and thirty four cents out of fifteen hundred Now I cannot get ahold of them. Oct 23 2023 I contacted Catcus Credit- I have since wanted to cancel my agreement with them as I did not provide them with the info they needed as I had a change of heart- I didnt feel comfortable with them once we spoke They took the ****** out of my account on Nov ******* There is no way to reach these people there phone numbers are "not *********** the links on the emails I have rec'd go to error code- I believe they are scammers regards *****************************Initial Complaint

Hi I signed up with Cactus Credit, **** **** ***** * ******** ********. Their business now says closed and thier number is disconnected. Can they still take money out? why did they sign me up when they knew they were closing the company?Initial Complaint

Within 24hours of signing up I had buyers remorse and called them. Told them I could not afford program at the time they convinced me to wait a couple of weeks to give it a chance. Called and emailed a few weeks later and was told I could not turn back. They took their first payment on October 27th and the took a second payment unauthorized on nov 10th. Called them and told them to put my money back. They asked me to wait until Nov 15th for them to investigate. Called back phone stated to check number. Have tried calling ******* ********* and ****** all phones out of service stopped payment for upcoming payment on the 28th but now hearing through customer complaints they will try different amounts. I talked to them about a consumer proposal, they took the first two payments of $174.83 each, so they could start the process. Each month after that is supposed to be 148 I believe. I've been unable to get in touch with them, they're not answering texts or emails. Also unsuccessful on the phone and actually today the recording says that the number is not listed anymore. I was applying to many places for a loan. Cactus Debt Relief contacted me and said they could do some amazing things to help me with my debt. I did not know about this place and what they were telling me was incredible. They said they could reduce my debt by thousands of dollars. I sent them:1. Proof of income (Paystub, T4, NOA)2.Statements from Debtors. (Credit Card Statement, Agreement from lender)3.Mortgage Statement (If applicable)4.Property Assessment (If applicable)5. Investment Statements (TFSA, ************ RRSP.)They said they'd take 3 payments of $349 and I should stop payments on a loan and on a credit card. They took $349 and my bank couldn't stop the $446 loan payment. (This caused me to be nearly broke for the whole month.)They said they couldn't help me any further because there seemed to be an undischarged bankruptcy in my past (1999).They asked me to investigate this and get back to them. They suspended my November $349 payment because I was told it would take 3 weeks to look into such an old bankruptcy. It turned out that I wasn't discharged. Cactus them told me that because of this I was NOT eligible for their program. I asked them to make sure no more money was taken out of my account and they told me their policy was to take out 2 more $349 payments. I have been getting the run around since. I spoke with someone who would say that someone else would phone me and I wouldn't get the call. I would phone and be told someone else would phone me and so far no one, in authority, has. Please tell me that there is something I can do to make sure I'm NOT paying another $700 for a program I am ineligible for. Thank you, ************************************
