I bought a solar system from Revolusun (now Solaris) with a performance guarantee. The system is not generating the guaranteed amount but I cannot get them to respond to my correspondence.

In response to a sales email, my wife and I decided to meet with Revolusun to discuss installation of solar panels at our residence in *********, **. We met with a sales representative virtually, who was very helpful and provided us with a lot of great information. We were pleased with the loan structure and potential incentive payments, so decided to have the panels installed by Revolusun around August of 2020.Along the way, we had some issues with the wireless monitoring device that tracks the amount of solar power our panels produce. We reached out to the customer service representative we were provided for such things, She provided a link to a ******* video demonstrating a similar (but not the same) European model of the device but no other instructions or context. The link was not responsive to the question; however, after several unhelpful exchanges with the customer rep. via email and telephone (and over several days), I was able to locate in the comment section of the ******* video, comments from a stranger unaffiliated with Revolusun who provided the information I needed for the device to operate effectively again. As the months went by, I never received any solar incentive payments, despite several months where we produced more power than we used. I sent emails inquiring about the payments to both the sales and customer service representatives I had worked with previously, but the issue was not resolved. I mistakenly believed that the power company was off-setting any billed period by applying the incentive payments.A couple of months later, I began receiving copied notifications from the power company, addressed to a Revolusun employee, to complete a "project" at my address. I inquired with with Revolusun three times as to what the issue was without a response. After several weeks of receiving these emails regularly, and on my fourth attempt at getting an answer from someone at Revolusun, I CC'd the sales and customer service reps. The sales rep. immediately responded that she'd have someone reach out with assistance. The customer service rep. responded the next day saying that a voided check address did not match the *** deposit form required by the power company to pay incentive payments (this is nearly a year after installation). The customer service rep. referred to a canned email she sent back in August 2020, at the same time my panels were installed. The email exchange was buried among several other exchanges to sign various forms, contracts, etc. There has been no follow-up since then, including when I inquired about receiving incentive payments, and I did not recall ever seeing that email; though I fully acknowledge she sent it... back in August 2020.Since I had neither the voided check, nor the *** form referred to in the customer service reps. email, and because her response was not forthcoming about the specific corrections needed, it took me several follow-up questions to get the answer. The address on the voided check does not match my residence, so the power company is making an issue of it. I emailed a short explanation and confirmed the routing number and account numbers, to which she replied that I need to submit a formal explanation. Again, there was no further information as to what "formalities" were required. Finally, I received a new *** form to complete from the power company. With any luck, that should resolve the issue. Or else, I'll wait another year to find out something else is needed.I'm wildly unimpressed with the level of customer service I've received from Revolusun. Why did it take several weeks and multiple emails to multiple parties before I got someone to explain what is going on? I could've resolved this months ago and been receiving incentive payments already. When I get a response, it's partial and void of context so I have to follow up with several questions before getting to the root of the issue. Now I get the run around about a "formal" explanation about a different address on a check? I don't care if this is power company's requirement, the email was addressed to an employee of Revolusun, and nobody said anything to me until I continued to follow up.Not to mention prior requests for assistance with our monitoring device have been answered with incomplete, outdated ******* videos of a device marketed for Europe. Also not to mention that nobody re-raised the issue of the checking account information when I inquired about my incentive payments. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with customer service, the reps response was "Sorry you feel that way but I sent you an email." She sent an email in August 2020, so I guess she's done. I'm not sure if that's the kind of integrity you want from a company.Look, I know when company's get reviews like this, they tend to chalk it up to yet another "*****" or "****" out there whining. But this isn't a burnt hamburger. This is several thousands of dollars I spent and I'm not one to complain easily. I have documented all of my email exchanges and would be happy to share them with a member of Revolusuns' executive team, if they're interested in this sort of information. Consumers in my position don't have a lot of options, outside of sharing the experience word-of-mouth and on social media. For example, my brother-in-law was inquiring about solar panels. Unfortunately, I can not recommend Revolusun based on my first year of experience. Maybe business is booming and they can afford a few unhappy customers. I'd recommend you not be one of them.
