First, we feel it is very important to address the term inappropriate. Our understanding, based on both the customer and the teachers description of the interaction, is that the issue was with the teachers tone and how he spoke to the teen-age student and not that any inappropriate, vulgar, suggestive or any other such action or language was used.The discussion which revolved around preparedness, practice time, commitment, etc. did get a little combative which is why the ****** was ended a few minutes early. It seems as though either the ****** shouldve ended a few minutes prior to when it actually did, or the players adult shouldve been brought in to the ****** for a discussion or simply to be a presence. As the host store, we will encourage all of our teachers to be on the lookout for any ****** situation that warrants a tighter inclusion of the parent or guardian.This teacher has been teaching in our studios for 14 years and is a valued part of the team. His students range in age and ability, and his retention rate is high. I realize that the player and teacher had many good ******s before yesterdays incident. Its unfortunate that the first time the this parent met the teacher was in this situation. We certainly wish all the best for the player and a future full of musical enjoyment.
