They moved our furniture into a pod while we had new hardwood floors installed. The first crew did a good job and had all the supplies needed for the job. When they returned to move our furniture back into the house after the installation they showed up in their car, no truck with the needed supplies to effectively move our furniture back into our house. I spoke with the team leader and he assured me that they could move it back without issues. They proceed to move items in while I helped unpack some newly purchased furniture in the garage. I had to free up a dolly I had to get our fridge and washer / dryer back into house. After I came back into the house I saw them trying to force a brand new dresser up the stairs without a blanket or anything to protect it. I went upstairs to see the damage and it was extensive. In the short time they were there they were able to cause multiple dents and scratches in our brand new floors as well as destroy the ceiling and walls leading up to the 2nd floor as well as break the top landing. They dragged our uncovered furniture over the railing causing damage to not only the railing but the furniture was badly damaged. I called immediately and was assured their insurance would cover the damages.They sent *** one of the owners out, he surveyed the damage and downplayed the seriousness of what his crew had done to our house. While going over the damage *** proceeded to downplay the value of our furniture by insinuating our furniture was older and not worth what we paid from an insurance stand point.Well we paid $2200 in total to have our furniture and brand new floors destroyed and now have to deal with a 3rd party insurance company to get our furniture, floors and house repaired. They did send out a restoration guy who made the damage worse than it was with a paint marker to fix the damaged furniture and add insult to injury he spilled paint on the floor which we cant get out. I understand it can all be fixed but to whos satisfaction and there certainly wont be any compensation for my time in filling out claims and to email endlessly with them or be here for estimates or to have the work completed, time is money! Id hate to see this happen to someone else, please, make sure you do your due diligence before hiring these guys! I could have had the neighborhood kids drag my furniture over my new floors and up the stairs for a h*** of a lot less money and had the same results. When we asked *** for some sort of a refund for the hassle he told us we wouldnt be able to file a claim if we wanted a discounted rate for the damage.
