Requested a quote from this company for myself and my neighbour. They said for 6 doors they would offer a volume discount but when we asked had to press for them to confirm amount . They said the discount was 8% and that if they gave it to us they required 100% deposit and that prices were going up by 10 to 15% When we both did not think this was reasonable for full deposit they said it was mandatory. When I questioned the prices going up conveniently I got a very aggressive email back from their president ***************************** who was extremely offended by our line of questioning and sent a copy of an email saying the price increase was received today, was voiding our quotes and told us to take our business elsewhere. This overall has been a terrible experience. From needing to push to get the amount of the discount because they didnt want to tell us until we placed the order, to mandating 100% payment to an extremely unprofessional response to valid questions. I dont know how they do business but their response felt 1) like an overreaction 2) unprofessional and 3) personal. Recommend staying away from this company.

The customer which we never met and only had their measurements was calling me a liar as to the price increase that was coming so I sent her the copy of the email that was sent to me earlier in the day. The manufacturer was not giving us any discount that was a price discount offered to the customer by our Company the manufacturer gives discounts after 15 units. This customer along with her neighbor somewhere they would not give us an address was quoted without seeing the job based on their measurements. We were going out to measure 6 shower enclosures in 2 different locations at no charge to either customer which is approximately an all day measurement as we laser measure all units. After multiple back and forths with both customers I did tell them I am voiding the proposals as we bent over backwards for both of these customers and please find another glass company to do their shower enclosures as we are being accused of manipulating customers to order product I do not need that type of customer. the writing was on the wall we sent them rough proposals based on their measurements, explaining that the price *** change after final measurement due to out of square conditions and there *** be an extended lead time dut to manufacturer shotages on black hardware. Even though the price increase is going into effect March 7th we honored our price based on their measurements for 30 days. We have been in business for 86 years and I do not need someone accusing our Company of trying to invent price increases to get their job. That is not how this business operates never has and never will. Sometimes in business you just can't make someone happy even after offering 8 hours of free measurements and 8 % discounts on something that has no discount to us from the manufacturer. That 8% was coming diretly from my company. Sometimes it is better to ask the customer to find someone else and that *** make them happy.

I don't appreciate being called a liar and I think the emotional response attached here by the company representative speaks for itself. Just a warning to other consumers - beware. The real issue was asking us for 100% deposit because of an 8% discount which we had to push to even find out how much the promised volume discount would be. I don't know what company needs 100% deposit up front. I fully agree that it was best for us to go a different route and with a different company. Found another one immediately who offered 15% off a similar retail price and only asked for 50% deposit.
