My mother in law order a 2 Misses 10.5 inseam pair of shorts that was purchased on sale, final sale. Upon receipt of package they sent her a 2P 9.5 inseam. The shipping label clearly stated 10.5 inseam but the product was a 2P 9.5 Inseam. When trying to return for the correct size both in store and via online and phone customer service she was denied and they said there wasn't a difference between a 2P and a 2 misses. When pointing out this difference from prior experience they disregarded the valid point and then began to say they both have the same SKU. We were able to uncover that too was a lie. Then they claimed my mother in law selected the wrong size when ordering online because there weren't any 2 misses 10.5 inseams left. Aha! The bottom line is that they ran out of the size my mother in law purchased and then gave her the regular 2 petite 9.5 inseam instead, and then blamed her for the selection. We have the photos of the paperwork.This company is doing everything they can do to cover up their mistakes and refuse to do right by the customer. They eventually refunded her money, but she had to pay shipping for the return. I must reiterate, this was their fault. Finally, they never admitted wrong and continue to place blame on my mother in law. How infuriating. My wardrobe is basically all their product. I'm not sure that will be the case moving forward.Review from James G

HORRIBLE. Where is the "less than one star?" Talbots has a 60 day return policy, but they do not honor it. I provided them with my purchase date, and a photocopy of the return shipping receipt specifying when the product was received at their warehouse. WELL WITHIN THE 60 DAYS. I purchased $500 worth of clothing and tried to return (with receipt) a pair of skinny jeans that I wore once. They were poorly made and the stretch went out in odd places immediately. They would not return them because I wore them and the store manager said they could not resell it. Of course they couldn't. I bought a poorly made, broken product. I was very disappointed. Used to be great. Employee tried to stick her hand under the blouse I was trying on in the try/on room to read the label!! Creepy. But turns out.$20 coupon applies to Tees by ****** not Talbot Tees. Maybe safer for personal protection to shop online.Review from Amy Z

I bought 10 items only from Talbots online. After I received it only kept 2 items. I returned 8 items in store at ********. I got returned receipts that I should get ****** refund . They credited me $204.95 still short $26.49 . I called customer service they said they credited to me it was my bank . I talked to my bank they told me was Talbots. I was kicked back and forth.Review from Irma J

I received a gift from my daughter and returned the item to Talbots it. I was given a credit receipt and was told I would have a credit the next time I purchased anything. I returned and purchased 3 items and there was no credit. I asked and they said it was given back to my daughters credit card. It was not credited to her credit card. I called talbots and it took me 20 minutes to get to anyone, then another 20 minutes to get to someone in their home to discuss this and to understand what my issue was. They said they would give my daughter the credit now if I had the last 4 digits of her credit card. I don't have her credit card and he told me that he would do it right now and it would be credited in 3 to 5 business days. So where was the credit before? This uncomfortable and time consuming interaction with Talbots has really turned me off to the store and the casual way of treatment and professionalismReview from Judith D

I have voiced my concerns about sizing and quality control directly to the *** and Sr. ******** ******* Mgr. My biggest issue is that a size 2P or simply size P should fit exactly the same regardless of the country in which it was made. At the request of the Sr. ******** ******* Mgr. I offered details on items that didn't fit so she could pass them along to the quality team to review and check measurements. I went to great lengths to do just that in an email, however, she never bothered to respond. My kind husband bought me five items from Talbots for Christmas and only one fit. Since this is not the first time his gifts had to be returned for sizing issues, I have finally asked him not to shop in Talbots for me any more. In addition to sizing, styles are not suitable for petite frames and are not very attractive. Then they put petite clothes on hangers that are too wide, which leaves stretch marks on the sleeves. In all my years of shopping at Talbots in different states, I have never once seen a tall, leggy shopper like the ones pictured in the store catalog. Sure their bodies show off the clothes to their best advantage, but the demographics of the average shopper reveals an entirely different body shape and height. I'd like to see a 5' model who wears a 2P wearing those same clothes in some of the pictures. As for those $20 bonus coupons that come in the mail fairly regularly, it would be nice to have more than three days to use them. I plan my week's activity in advance and rarely can get to the store before the expiration date. I never shop in Talbots without a coupon, reward dollars or significant store sale. Even with them the quality of the merchandise often doesn't justify even the reduced price.Review from Ki F

DONT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I placed an order on-line, made a mistake on the delivery address & there was NO way to repair it. Most companies allow a 30 minute window to make a change or cancel. Not this company, once theyve got your money, theres no going back. The website provides a number to call for time sensitive issues & when called, it says theyre closed! When I did reach someone the next day, I received VERY POOR customer service. Will never order from this company again! BUYER BEWARE!!Review from Millie L

TERRIBLE ***************** I ordered online and wanted to cancel the order. The online chat option was not helpful. I reached out to have my order canceled and the customer service rep advised my order would cancel if the item was not available. And I would not be charged. I have already been charged and want to cancel the order and a refund. I have called the customer care number 3 times this morning, each call I waited on hold for aprox. 30 minutes and then the line disconnected each time. I have yet to have my issues resolved. At this point it is not even about my refund or cancel but about the lack of professionalism and customer care of this company. I will NEVER order again from Talbots.Review from Peggy K.

I have clothes from Talbots that are over 20 years old that look much better than the new items available. I would be happy to pay $70 for one of their Tee shirts of the quality they sold in the past. Now the fabrics are about as good as griege goods as they have not been properly finished at the mill. They have no stain resistant or wrinkle resistant finishes applied. You may as well shop at ********
