The absolute rock bottom of a company. If you wonder if they treat everyone as bad as they do you? Without fail. They get most of their auto loan business from car dealerships, like they did mine. So, they don't care if you are a repeat customer, as the dealerships will keep using them anyway. Moral of the story...go to the car dealership with your own financing, or remember to take a minute, and research the company the dealership is pushing. Stay far, far away, from this one.Review from Craig T

9 to 4 bank hours - what century do they feel they are in . This smacks clear in the face of a bank that is probably having financial woes - why else minimize exposure to the public coming in a having transactions that can't be done in an ATM machine. This bank is falling off the earthReview from sohaib z

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the services provided by ****************************, Home Equity Specialist at Citizens Bank. My experience with ****************** has been nothing short of misleading and deceptive, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to prevent others from falling victim to her unscrupulous practices.Upon reaching out to ****************** for information about home equity services, I was met with false promises and deceptive claims. ****************** sweet-talked me into believing that the minimum Home Equity Line of Credit (*****) was preapproved, urging me to apply without providing transparent details or full disclosure about the process.********************** misleading representation of the preapproval status of the ***** minimum amount was a blatant attempt to manipulate me into applying for a product without fully understanding the terms, conditions, or implications. Her actions demonstrate a clear lack of integrity and a disregard for ethical business practices.Furthermore, ********************** failure to provide accurate and honest information reflects poorly on her professionalism and integrity as a Home Equity Specialist. By misrepresenting the preapproval status and pressuring individuals to apply for financial products under false pretenses, she undermines trust and erodes confidence in Citizens Bank's services.I urge prospective clients to exercise caution and skepticism when dealing with **************************** and to thoroughly scrutinize any information or offers presented by her. My experience serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of due diligence and vigilance when navigating financial transactions, especially with individuals like ****************** who prioritize deceptive tactics over genuine customer service.Review from Mazen K

I don't know, but this bank is way outdated for me and behind *********! Debit/Credit transactions will not post and reflect available balance until few days later and that might cause an overdraft fees if you don't pay a closer look at your account transactions! When initiating a bill pay, the available balance amount is not deducted even though the payment is processed and sent out! I like to see an update on the way this bank process transactions and come up with a clearer look at accounts info.Any transactions you initiate should immediately be reflected on the account! The app is also outdated and should be improved!Review from Greg C

*************************** was completely disrespectful to my family and I. She completely disregarded policy while handling my grandmothers account. My grandmother went into the bank to get money out of her personal account at the front desk. ***** saw my grandmother from her desk, came out and told her that the card would not work. My grandmother has two accounts with Citizens under the same card (one personal and one for her husband whom she has legal guardianship over). ***** then told the teller that she is shutting grandmothers card down because her guardianship documents were not official (which is a lie and she did not have an official review of these documents by manager before stating this). To make a long story short, we advocated for my grandmother for her account being handled incorrectly. ***** raised her voice at all of us and put her hands on my father pushing him out of the office as he was trying to handle the situation in a ***** and respective matter. I have everything recorded. Unfortunately, this is how they treat black people in the community because they think we have no idea how to handle things the RIGHT way. This whole situation was disrespectful, discriminatory and absurd.Review from John C

Had them for 25 years and this is the first time starting to have issue with them. I had been using checks from the same check book for my account for 25 years. NOTHING had changed. Recently wrote 2 checks to my contactor for works. First check bounced. Call them and they said the fraud department flagged it and called me to confirm (never got a call, voicemail, text nor email BTW) if I wrote the check. I told them that I wanted to make sure the second check which also cashed not to bounce. Supervisor ensure me that would not bounce since I had funds on account. Guess what. BOUNCED today. Spend another hour on the phone with them about it and still give me the same BS about their fraud **** flagged it and bounce my check. There is no else else I can speak to to ensure I can write checks on my account. No one can call me from the fraud department about why they think it's fraud. And no one can write to me to ensure me that I can use my check to not have it bounce again. Maybe my business is better elsewhere even after 25 years.Review from Laura K

When I first opened an account over a decade ago with them, they were the best bank I ever dealt with. They had amazing customer service in every aspect. They didn't hit you with fees left and right and had locations opened on Sunday. Over the past few years they have DRASTICALLY declined in service and convenience. They closed my supermarket branch, stopped offering Sunday banking, outsourced customer service to other countries making it hard to have a discussion on the issues I am calling about because of the language barrier they read from a script and never answer or understand your question. And today I was told I have no choice I have to change my card and card number because they decided to merge with Mastercard. MY WHOLE LIFE is attached to my card number. I will have to spend hours looking up and calling ever single business I deal with to change my information so I don't default on payments. It is infuriating and inconvenient. Honestly if it wasn't such a pain to switch banks and all the information I would look for another bank. This was the last bank I expected to turn into all the other same old same old banks and what a sad situation it has turned into. Citizens has gone from a 10 star bank to a 1 star cookie cutter institution with cruddy service and nothing sets them apart from any other bank.Review from Stephen N

Citizens was fine until they made a mistake with my new insurance. Long story short I got a new home owner's policy that was thousands less a year than my previous one. The escrow analysis was already run but I had time before my payment so i called and asked if I paid the escrow shortage for the previous year, paid my new insurance up front, and the premium for **** went from $5000 to under $1800, would they be able to correct my monthly payment before the February one was due. They said yes several times so I fronted more than $4700 to bring the shortage to zero and pay my insurance in full. They did not run an escrow analysis afterward, which left my payment at over $2000 when it should have been under $900. They clearly had time to handle the situation because they also sent out a payment to the new insurance company with the new amount, after I told them not to as it had been paid, AND they received the documentation from the new company saying the same thing. This of course turned my zero dollar shortage back into a nearly $1800 shortage. Since the payment wasn't adjusted they took over $2000 for the February payment. They will not reverse the payment, but after being escalated to the office of the chairman, they re-ran the analysis which should have been done already, and adjusted the payment but it still included the new shortage. To make sure I am not overcharged again for March, I had to pay the new shortage out of pocket thankfully I could but it was another $1100. Now I have to wait for a paper check refund from my insurance company while I am short over $2000 in total until all of the corrections can be processed simply because Citizens employees are ill-trained. I was told they will not reverse the payment and use the new analysis because it would make me "delinquent" despite it being only for the moments to refund and take the new payment. This behavior could wreck so many peoples' budgets, I was just lucky but Citizens does not care.
