The smartphone, which retails for $179.99, will be part of AT&T’s GoPhone label and run Google’s Android 2.2 operating system. The Thrive offers a 3.2-inch touch screen, e-mail capabilities, unlimited Wi-Fi through AT&T’s Hot Spot network and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
Data plans will begin at $5 and will go up to $25 for 10 MB and 500 MB, respectively. The smartphone comes with 160 MB of memory, as well as microSD slot for extra storage.
For those who wish to purchase a similar phone with a 2 year contract, AT&T will also offer the LG Phoenix for $49.99.
