I am very disappointed in that I brought my very mentally ill child there for group therapy and after 7 weeks (they also had their Doctor changing his medications, and many dangerous ones that he can't just stop taking. When he was finished, the recommended putting him in a residential home, for three months at 15 years old. He has never been in trouble one time at school he is not rebellious he is not bad in the least. He has never been even written up at school one time and does not belong in a residential home. He is transgender it has extreme social anxiety, in a residential home with nothing answer for me or him. Not to mention my brother had died the week before tragically and so Michael was upset due to that and maybe had a bad attitude at the most. Upon my telling them that I was not going with their recommendation, they refused to give him any medication or any other treatment and left him hanging on half medication, and nothing was a full even dose of anti-depressant. They had him on seven different medicines and tell me I had to find a new doctor with no refills are nowhere to back up any of the medication. It took me months to find a new doctor taking patients right now and to get him in and during that time he became worse than ever and they acted like they did not care in the least. Are they trying to get more money button and people to residential homes? Do they care if a kid kills themselves based on their no longer giving them medicine? When I finally brought him to the new doctor recently she said he was on seven different medication but not one full dose of an antidepressant and was shocked and how they left him. This was in early March and today were in the beginning of June and he still not stable at all. He is worse now than before when I brought him which I only wanted him to have group therapy because Was isolated and lonely. I just went with their advice with their doctor and gave him a chance and it turned out horrible and my child could still die based on this. I'm still shocked that they did this to him, and not at least offer to continue to give him his medication until I found another doctor. He is suicidal in harms himself by cutting and I blame them for it getting this bad. They were very expensive and wanted their money before any kind of treatment every week, but had no problem leaving us hanging with a 15-year-old suicidal transgender child who hurts himself and cuts himself because he hates himself already. I am furious and will probably contact Department of mental health in Louisiana as this could've taken his life and steal his life is at risk. He can only change and fix more medicine at a time it should take three months to get his medicine right is what I'm being told by his new doctor.
