      The only reason I gave Forrest Scott Fencing, Inc. one star review is because review wouldn’t let me pick anything less than 1 out of 5 stars. The owner, Forest Scott business practices are unethical, and I am so disappointed that I ever trusted him to build a fence at my home. I should have checked BBB first! If you need a fence or gate built, my suggestion to anyone is, DO NOT used Forest Scott Fencing Inc. There seems to be a pattern based on based on dozens of BBB reviews. I needed a simple chainlink fence built at my residence. He requires half for deposits, then I waited to be scheduled and waited. When I call Forrest Scott to find out why the work hasn’t begun, I have to leave message after message and or leave a message with whoever he has answering his phone to have Forrest call me back. After I got fed up and ask for deposit back, he continues ghost and avoid me. He has obviously used the money either to pay off other debts or for his own personal gain. Very unscrupulous/criminal business ethics . He still owes me my deposit from 2020 and obviously seems Forrest Scott /Forrest Scott fencing Inc, doesn’t have any intentions of refunding my deposit. I had to resort to filing law suit to get his attention. I received a judgment against Forrest Scott Fencing and he still continues to ignore the fact he owes me. I also petitioned for garnishment and still no response from Forest Scott Fencing Inc. I guess since he is the owner he’s not going to garnish his own wages. This is definitely been a learning experience about the Fencing business. I guess my next resort is to try and find other people he’s done this to and file a class action suit against Forest Scott Fencing, Inc. I am not sure how he is still allowed to operate in a business in Louisiana. Buyers be aware!

      Forrest Scott fencing company installed a wood fence and electric gate in 2019. I have been contacting them for approximately a year after installing the fence and gate regarding the fact that the gate is leaning and separating from the fence and part of the wood fence is also leaning. They finally sent someone out to assess the situation in June of last year. The fence and gate are under warranty for five years. The repair man came out and initiated repairs to the gate, but did not come back to complete the repairs. He stated that he had to go back to the office to get a saw, but never returned. He also propped the leaning fence up and stated that he needed to pour more concrete so that it would remain upright. Again, he has not returned. Several messages have been left on their answering machine as well as a message via text. As usual, there is absolutely no response. I had problems with this company initially, when they took money for the deposit and didn’t return. After multiple phone calls, they finally came out and got the work done. I do not understand why this company is still allowed to be in business with their businesse practices. I am only seeking that the warranty work be completed, including repairing the gate and adjusting the leaning fence

      We agreed to a fencing project w/ Forrest Scott Fencing, Inc., and paid a down payment on the job; however, they did not show up to do the work according to the contract. I went by their office to talk with them about the project and what was holding things up, but what I saw appeared to be family members cooking in the office and having no idea about our project. We entered into discussions with another contractor, but have not had them do any work.

      First of all I think a C+ rating for this company is much too generous. By the owners own admission he sent an unskilled inept crew to install a new wood fence at my 91 year old mothers house, whom he gladly accepted $8,000 from. We finally got the owner, Forrest Scott, to come to the house and inspect the shoddy work that was done. This was on or about 4/26/22. He appeared to be disgusted at what he saw and advised he'd have a seasoned crew come back to fix the mess. We're still waiting. My brother spoke with one of his employees this past Friday and was told they had all the materials loaded on a trailer and would be at my mothers house Monday morning. As usual, no one showed up. We have been repeatedly put off, lied to and ignored. Our patience with these people is now exhausted. We hope filing this complaint with the BBB will bring results. If not, our only other option will be through legal channels.

      We contracted this company and paid our deposit in late November/early December of 2021. As of 2/17/22 we still have had no response from the company on when our security gate will be installed. We have called multiple times and left messages with no response, and when they do answer they give you the run around and tell you they will call you back and never do. Today we have demanded our gate be installed, the parts we paid for, or a refund on our deposit. We also sent information to our legal team about next steps. I do not recommend anyone use this company after our experience and reading the other reviews posted here!

      They contacted me on Friday and stated they had to come out to see what the job would entail. I asked why since they had already done the estimate and the deposit for parts has been paid. The gentlemen did come out Friday and looked at the gate but the left and we have not heard back from then since. I called again today and again they do not answer the phone to give any sort of explanation. I want to know when the gate will be installed or when I will be receiving my money back.

      Several years ago I had Forrest Scott Fencing install a wooden fence across my backyard. Everything appeared to be okay until I learned this summer that a portion of the fence was placed too close to a utility box. I found this out when the utility company cut down an 8-ft section of the fence. Forrest Scott personally met with me in my backyard, acknowledged the problem, and told me he would prepare a work order to put a gate in front of the box which he "guaranteed" would solve the problem. His office would get back to me in a few days. I never heard from him again.
      For three months I have gotten the run-around from his office manager. "******* has the information he needs and will be in touch with you" was the last response I received from her two months ago. Since then my requests for information have been completely ignored. I am done with this disreputable company.
      When the owner of the company meets with you in person and tells you to your face what he will do to solve your problem, I expect most honest people would take him at his word. That is a mistake if you are dealing with Forrest Scott Fencing. It appears his F-rating by the Better Business Bureau is well deserved. Be advised that this company is unreliable. There are certainly better options in the Baton Rouge market.

      A lot has happened since I met you at your home to look at the fence that the utility company removed.

      The weekend after we met, I fell sick with covid and was out for about five weeks, and another 2 weeks while my wife was also sick.

      It was my understanding that your fencing need was done while I was out sick.

      Forrest Scott and his Office Staff have been unbearable to say the least. Disrespected, appointment canceled 10 times. Yes, he had a substantial down payment. Yes he is rude, does not tell the truth and his staff and salesman told me of the problems they were facing including loss of workers. He knew that I was holding my black Labrador in a 5x5 at a new home waiting. Four or five weeks and way too many lies he was basically forced to finish or forfeit the money. He chose my deadline. Dog is now happy. Not a three inch gap under the fence as I was told. So yes, I am so happy to be finished with them. The fence? Nails missing,back fence is crooked. Please do not use this Company. They are now located in Baton Rouge on Choctaw. Do not go there they will threaten to call the police after telling you to get your deposit. No refund on the deposit. Check other reviews. Done.

      I am not sorry for calling the police when you were verbally abusing me, blocking our driveway, refusing to move your vehicle, and preventing our workers from working. You could have simply moved your vehicle and communicated rationally, but your disposition was hostile, defiant, and irrational.

      My experience dealing with Forrest Scott Fencing: I received a quote on approximately 60' of 'custom iron fencing' on January 5, 2021. I paid the required deposit of one half of the quote on January 11, 2021 The fence was started by setting 9 posts on June 6, 2021. -------- 6 MONTHS LATER The remaining fence was complete June 11, 2021 (at 9:30 PM) Six months waiting and numerous ignored phones calls to Forrest Scott himself. When he did return my call, I heard every excuse you could imagine. The experience was unbelievable. I was told so many times that they would start within the week. It was one lie after another - over and over and over. After patiently waiting and listening to so many lies I paid a visit to his office. An employee that no longer worked for the company (happened to be there) heard my frustration and promised he would see to it that my fence would go up that week. After dealing with Forrest for 6 long, very frustrating, months my fence was done. On June 15, 2021, Forrest sends me a text (6:55 PM) saying he would like to come by and inspect the work and get paid the final balance. He showed up 15 minutes later and received the final payment. He very rudely took his payment and drove off. He never looked at the work that had been done. I share my experience so that no one else has to deal with Forest Scott and be treated like I was. I wouldn't use Forrest Scott Fencing to install something as simple as a gate latch. His business will not survive treating customers like I and apparently so many others have been treated. I only wish I had read his BBB reviews before I got involved with Forrest Scott Fencing.

      Mr. ******, I'm sorry that you feel this way.

      you are correct that my team and I were at your home until nearly 10pm last Friday evening to finish the fence for you.
      I called and texted you from my office on Monday and Tuesday to make sure that you were satisfied. You did not answer or reply my attempts to communicate.

      after several attempts to contact you over the two day period, I did stop by yesterday to inspect the fence and had hopes of picking up payment. I could not inspect the work due to the rain but as I notified you earlier this morning, I will be by this morning, 6-16-2021, to look over the fence.

      I certainly cant change the way that things were handled in the past, but surely working on your project until nearly 10PM on a Friday evening, and then making several attempts to contact you to insure that you are satisfied with your work, should show that I am doing everything possible to correct the mistake of the past.

      Terrible customer service! Had a wrought iron gate installed. Process began with a deposit on June 3, 2020. Gate finally installed in September 2020. The latch does not work properly, and we have made repeated calls asking for them to repair or replace the latch. Always an excuse or our calls are ignored and then out of the blue on more than one occasion, someone shows up to look at the latch and tells us they have to run go get the part to make the repair as will be right back and then never return. We are passed * year since the beginning of this project and the latch is still broken....same problem for our neighbors! I do not recommend this company to anyone under any circumstances. They should be put out of business! Totally slipshod operation!

      If it were an option! I would give this company ZERO stars.
