If I could give no stars I would, let me start off by saying they have the worst customer service , I doubt the owner knows how unprofessinal they are. They purchased my vehicle and hands me a check for the car. They did not make me aware that the check had a fraud protection on it that the incompetent ***** who is there accountant failed todo her job and release funds. I went to deposit the check and it was returned 3 days later being a bounced check, because she did not do her job of releasing funds. I went back an hour away to be reissued a new check and was advised funds are good by a very obnoxious , RUDE associate ** who rasised his voice . The bank proceeded to tell me again it a bad check after depositing it and that I was flagged in the fraud department and my account was frozen, Again, I called to speak to the very incompetent ***** who is in accounting and advised her per the bank she needed to release the funds. The embarrsement that I have endured and my account being froze and now alerted as fraud all because of an incompetent accountant for a large dealership, who she also advised me 9 other customers this had happened to due to her neglect of issuing checks and not releasing funds through their new positve pay system, It was the worse customer service and so degrading that for 3 days I have endured. I would never recommend them to anyone. The manager ***** was just as useless to talk to . As a customer who is in good standing with a bank to have to go through this by a dealership who just hands you a check and sees you out the door and your shocked to see they seen 2 bounced checks from a dealership. Is very poor business. Not good for the community of Gonzales . Horrible service. Find a different dealership then dealing with these people.Ascension Honda Response

Yes. We had some major start up issues with our positive pay fraud protection safeguards. Profoundly sorry for your bad experience. Unfortunately our society today is one that bad folks do bad things and the initial pains felt by both you and us are necessary in todays banking society. The staff members you mention above are some of our best and brightest. Unfortunately in this situation you did not see us at our best. Sincerest apologies, ***** ****, Partner / General MangerReview from M. G.

If I could give less than a 1 star review I would. This is by far the shadiest group of people we have ever dealt with in buying a car. They kept calling us about a used car we were interested in. They kept making certain offers until we finally agreed to purchase the car. We spent about a week back and forth. I was first contacted by an internet lead person, who then put me with a sales person. I reached an agreement with the sales person on the price, minor paint chip repairs to the car, etc. They agreed to fix the car and if it wasn't to our satisfaction we didn't have to purchase it. I signed the agreement and my husband stopped by today to sign. He was told the agreement the sales person made with me was not approved by management and they wanted a check from him on the spot or they were going to sell the car to someone else without doing any repairs. We already had financing through our credit union and the loan was being set up. They wouldn't honor anything and tried to pressure my husband in to signing documents we didn't agree to. They have very fraudulent sales practices.Ascension Honda Response

Mrs ***** While we know you won't feel this way, we did try our best to sell you the car you selected. We removed the vehicle from active sale and held the car until it was convenient for you to have the paperwork completed. After your husband did not come in as promised (a span of five days) we were unsure if the deal would be completed. We had another customer who wanted to purchase the car so we sold the car. In the future I would recommend that if there is a vehicle or product you are interested in, you complete the sale.Customer Response

Once again, you are being untruthful. After speaking with several people in our community, I wish I would have known before trying to doing business there. You guys have a reputation for being under handed. My husband came in immediately when asked. ****** called me on Monday and asked for him to come in. He made an appointment to be there at 4 pm that day after work. Perhaps you didn't know that because you kept passing us around between 3 or 4 different people and NONE of them knew what the other one had agreed to or done. It was complete unorganized chaos. We had a buyer's deal which was signed and a purchase agreement. The car was supposed to be repaired to on Wednesday and we were to inspect it at that time and if all was good we were picking it up on Thursday. I had already sent the buyer's order and purchase agreement to our credit union on the Friday before. YOUR salesperson as well as YOUR internet lead person knew this, agreed to it and signed off on it. It was a done deal. They called me back to the dealership 3 times in one day because they "forgot" to keep getting me to sign something else. Like I said, it was complete unorganized chaos. YOUR Finance person that I met with and signed the buyer's order with told me my husband could just sign his portion of the buyer's order on Wednesday after we inspected the car. On Sunday evening, my husband got an email trying to get him to come in and purchase the very car you had just sold to us. When I confronted ****** about it, he apologized, said the car was definitely ours and that he had not linked mine and my husbands sale profiles together. He said it was it was his mistake, however he didn't bother to explain why you were still trying to sell a car you had just agreed to sell to me. Once again, unorganized shady chaos. Our purchase agreement stated that the car had to be repaired to our satisfaction or we did not have to take ownership and please do not try to deny that. I have a copy of the paperwork and will be happy to post it on here for the world to see. Also, your company advertised an online a picture of the car along with a yellow frame that stated *COMES WITH A WARRANTY* and a picture of a "Lifetime Powertrain Logo" right under it. That's false advertising because when you clicked on it and read the fine print it states it is for a new Honda only. When my husband asked your salesperson about the warranty, she was shocked when she saw the online picture of the car and the warranty advertisement. She said she didn't know what that was about. In fact the only "warranty" you guys offer is a 30 day 50/50 warranty on any used car. However you don't disclose that on your website. We noticed that while the "COMES WITH A WARRANTY" advertisement is still on all your used cars, the Lifetime Powertrain Logo has since been removed. It's very misleading, and I had an interesting conversation with the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission about it. and they told me they were assigning an investigator to look into it. I sent them the picture of the car we had printed from the internet to them, so do not even try to deny it and I would be happy to upload it here as well. In the end, we actually purchased the identical car with less miles, in much better shape at another dealership and the whole deal took about 30 minutes. We dealt with one salesperson who was polite and completely upfront about everything. and it came with a 90 day or 1,000 mile warranty which they disclosed to us right upfront. That's the way it should be if your business is being ran correctly and you're not trying to confuse someone with different salespeople and upcharges that are ridiculous. and passing your customers back and forth between 3-4 different people. We literally never could figure out who our actual salesperson was. Each time we talked to ******, he would then pass us to Tiffany, who would then pass us to a very rude young man by the name of **** None of them knew what the other was agreeing to or doing and it is the most ridiculous way to do business. Trust me when I say we are so happy we took our business elsewhere. We will never step foot in your dealership again. You have my word on that.Review from Eugene J

I think that Ascension Honda has some scammers working for the company who are misleading people and selling them bad automobiles. Especially, and they use vehicle department. I just recently purchased a 2013 Dodge ram 6 weeks ago. And I have been back six times concerning defects. Turns to find that the vehicle needs an entire new engine. The last time I visited Ascension Honda, I spoke with general manager, ****** ********* who I believe swindled me out of $5,000. Upon me returning the 2013 ram that I purchased 6 weeks ago, I was given the $12,000 cash that I'd paid for the vehicle, but did not receive the vehicle that I had given them as a trade-in and the process of the purchase, which was a 2016 Ford fusion which I had paid $8,000 from the Ford dealership. In the process of repurchasing the 2013 ram I've given them that vehicle in exchange for $5,000 which I did not get back in return upon returning the 2013 Dodge ram. I do not think that the dealership is bad in itself, but there are some bad apples inside of the dealership who are scamming people and swindling people out of the vehicles they are trading at Ascension Honda in the process of purchasing their vehicles. These con people are selling people trade-ins and keeping the money instead of reimbursing the buyer upon returning unsatisfactory vehicles from the dealership. I would recommend that people be extremely careful in buying used cars from Ascension Honda, Gonzales Louisiana. This has been a bad experience for me which have led to an eventual lawsuit against Ascension Honda which is in the process.Ascension Honda Response

Mr. ******, I was disappointed to see this. After looking at various options, including another vehicle, I was under the assumption we had reached an agreement that you were good with, us buying the truck back in its nonrunning condition. ****** ********* General Sales Manager.Review from Alexis R

We have resolved Ms ******** concern. Mr. ******* brought her car in last week. We reviewed and inspected all four tires with him.
We were able to repair one tire under her tire warranty. One other tire was worn from use and not covered under the policy. Mr. ******* said he would take care of the other tire. He seemed happy with the resolution. ***** ******* Service & Parts Director.Review from Autumn L

I have never been been so disrespected in my life. Drove over an hour, waited patiently for at least an hour just to have Xxxx in finance laugh directly in our face!!!!!!! She could have simply advised us that the payment we was hoping wasn't possible, she chose to laugh in our face. Laughing in a customer's face is unprofessional and disrespectful. I understand your trying to make your company look better but nothing excuses the disrespect that Xxxx gave!Ascension Honda Response

I apologize if you felt disrespected. I have reviewed these comments with Xxxx and she states that she is sorry and that was not her intent. I have used this as a training experience with her. Overall we get good reports from our customers regarding their experience at Ascension Honda. In this instance however, we did not provide as good of an experience as I strive for. I have purchased a car from this dealership before (Previously known as Tiger Honda) and went to look at available cars. I had looked at cars a few times and decided to talk "numbers" with a salesperson. They have a card to fill out with your personal information that I had already filled out a few days prior with another salesperson. Salesperson took over 10 minutes to get this card. Spent time again filling out another one. We went over a few available cars listed on their website and I asked the price for one. Salesperson took about 15 minutes to get the price. I declined purchasing the car and was sitting in my car about to leave when the salesperson said that their manager would like to speak to me. I came back to the desk and was kept waiting another 15+ minutes. Manager spoke to me about why I didn't want to buy the car and I mentioned the price. Manager basically said the generic salesperson pitch that they have to make money on the cars and that this is how the market currently is. The following days I continue to get calls from Ascension Honda, but didn't answer because I was busy. I eventually get a call I am able to answer and tell the salesperson I have already bought another vehicle, thinking that would be the end of the conversation. Salesperson continues to call me for several days and even asked the price of the car I bought. Salesperson left several voicemails since I hadn't been able to answer their calls. I answered a call from the salesperson and they asked again what the price of the vehicle was. I told them that this was personal and tried to end the conversation. I have never felt this unimportant (waiting long periods of time for no results), harassed (many calls and voicemails and asking how much I spent on my newest vehicle), and disrespected. I will not purchase a vehicle from Ascension Honda again, and am considering to stop using them for maintenance as I don't want to associate with them after this experience.Ascension Honda Response

Every time I bring my vehicle in for work they get it done in a timely and reasonably priced manner! They even run it through the car wash for me! They have water, popcorn and cookies while I wait. Best Honda dealership around! I'll never stop bringing it here to have work done!
