Hello my name is ****** ********* and I stayed at Campus Crossing on Brightside. I was a victim of identity theft. On the April 19th someone hacked my bank account and made some claim reversals on my account. The payments I paid Brightside for the months of February, March, & April in the amount of $355.95 for a total of $1,067.85 was reversed back to my account. These funds were then sent back to Brightside by Chase using the transaction number FXXXXXXXXXXX. We have gone back and forth with Chase and Brightside to find out what happen and why the funds were reversed. My father and I went inside a Chase branch in Georgetown Tx. and spoke to a bank manager. That's when we found out I was a victim of identity theft. The reversals were fraudulently made. I am unable to pay rent for the months of May, June, & July due to this issue. Brightside has added late charges on my account. I have provided them recipes proving my rent was paid. Chase bank provided documents that was stamped showing proof the repayments were made. Brightside has stated they can't find the funds and the late charges are continuing to stack up, which is outrageous because they will not accept a payment until the other funds are found. We were instructed by the bank to contact BBB to help get this resolved. My father reached out to you guys with an attached document stamped by Chase that shows the payments were sent to Brightside on May 10th. He received an email stating that I had to make a police report. The report number is XXXX-XXXX-XX from Liberty Hill Police Department in Liberty Hill Texas. We asked if we needed paper work and they said you can use the report number to reach them. I am prepared to pay for the months of May, June and July without the late charges. I am asking for you to help me resolve this matter with Brightside. Pleas let me know if you need additional information. Thanks
