BBB’s Center for Character Ethics Announces Call For Entries for 2018 Scholarships

The Center for Character Ethics is proud to announce the call for entries for our 2018 Student of Integrity Scholarships. An annual awards program that selects and honors high school seniors who personify high character.

This year we are awarding SEVEN scholarships to graduating high school seniors which range from $1000-$3500. This includes TWO CTAE-specific scholarships for those students who want to choose a technical path. 

Students must attend an accredited high school or home-school in one of the following counties: Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Carroll, Cherokee, Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Elbert, Fayette, Forsyth, Franklin, Fulton, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Haralson, Hart, Henry, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rabun, Rockdale, Spalding, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walton and White Counties.


SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES:

Entries must be completed online using the Entry Form below.  NO entries will be accepted via Mail or Email. Incomplete entries will NOT be acknowledged. 

APPLICATION CHECKLIST: 

  1. Complete Online Entry Form which is below or click here.  Within the online entry form, you will include the following:
  • Please write a letter expressing your thoughts on what it means to be a leader and how it feels when giving back to the community.  Include experiences and examples of your school & community involvement.
  • High School Transcript - *Please remove Social Security Numbers.
  • An essay of 5000 characters or less.  Students are asked to read and consider the 20 principles entitled UncommonSense Framework (http://go.bbb.org/atl-20principles).  Select one or more of the principles; and write an essay that gives a specific, personal example of how s/he was challenged or struggled through a difficult situation and how s/he overcame the situation by the application of high character and personal ethics.  
  1. Recommendation Form to be completed online by the student’s recommender. This form must be completed by a school administrator, teacher, counselor, community/religious leader or an employer. A recommendation from a family member or friend should not be submitted.  The deadline for submission of this form is January 3, 2018.  Please forward this link to the individual providing your recommendation: http://go.bbb.org/atl-recommendation-form

DEADLINE:
Entries must be submitted online by January 3, 2018. Please note, all winners will be required to attend the luncheon ceremony in order to receive the scholarship.
