I had coverage with Anthem and requested it to be canceled effective 3/1/23 as my employer insurance would kick in 2/23 and they said it was approved to cancel and they continued to debit my account for over $800 of premiums. They never canceled the policy and I have been going back and forth with their message center and have requested a supervisor to contact me and they have never made that happen. I have provided all the proof they asked for of my other policy several times and they had never asked me to provide that to begin with. I never would have known that they didnt cancel the plan if I hadnt been auditing my bank account. I am so disappointed in their customer service and lack of accountability in this situation.Review from carol s

My husband and I had anthem insurance for 2019. Everything was fine during the year we had insurance. The following October we both got notices that several of our claims were denied. they claimed we has other insurance. we did not. I sent many appeals and spent hours on the phone with them or waiting to speak to them. I finally goth them to repay my claims, but not my husbands. Both the provider and I called the last time in July with proof of no other insurance. After 3 weeks plus a year of waiting the provider is read to turn our acct to a collection agency. I called today to get an update. They claim I can't talk to them about my husbands policy as they have no authorization. In Feb 21 I mailed the authorization in and have been calling about my husbands acct since but now they don't have the authorization. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After 26 min I got disconnected. Called back got an immediate disconnect. Called again they claimed a bad connection and hung up. They are roadblocking. Do not use them.
