    I contacted the company due to issues experienced with the Trane's smart thermostats and **** system in my newly built home 2020-21. The both thermostats are Trane but different models. The smart thermostat upstairs, model XL724 is difficult to manage and setup. Issues have persists with the XL724 model, it appeared to be programmed incorrectly. Since installation it's been noisy, unable to control room humidity, takes forever to cool an area in the evening (regardless of the season), becomes extremely hot in the early morning from 2am - 6am; although thermostat shows ***** degrees. Advised of the consistent disconnection of bridge and noises from the **** system. The XL724 off mode would show -idle; then the air would continue to run when it when it should be off. When I called the Trane customer support the agents would inform/confirm that the system should be off and appears to be off per their review and all schedules were disabled. On May 9, 2022, Tech ***** made an initial consult $99 explained the issues above regarding the XL724, but the Tech advised didn't know what was causing the problems or how to correct the issues. Per a previous conversation with an agent at Anchor Htg, she advised that she experienced similar issues resulting from being programmed incorrectly. Shared info with Tech which agreed that getting the XL824 model would be programmed differently from the XL724 model. On May 12, 2022 it was purchased $425 and installed by Anchor Tech, but it wasn't programmed differently, instead used the same format and firmware as the XL724. Contacted Anchor and *****, with complaints of the same issues as the previous thermostat. Although the Tech came out two additional times he advised that he did not know what the problem could be, and informed me that my **** system did not use a coolant to cool my home. I expressed to Anchor Tech on each visit of the noises from the **** system. Issues haven't been resolved and XL824 thermostat not working properly.

    They have done business with me for over 20 years, including some rental properties and two heating and cooling units at my home. They replaced the exchange and condenser upstairs. They fridgerant lines were up against the roof. This resulted in a line getting punctured during roofing. I called for a repair and was told that if I had a service plan, then they might have told me that the line should be moved. Also, told me I would have to wait a day for repair because I was not on a service plan, despite all my business. Said repai would be between $900 and $1,800. Next day, without seeing it, I am told repair would be $2,150! They have no loyalty to customers and ***** them in price. Got it fixed for $1,140 immediately by a competitior. They apparently want to force customers to pay for their service plan, and overcharge. Too many good companies to give them my business.
