I met with *****************************, owner of this business at my home on April 25, 2022. I hired ******* to build me a coffee table, barn doors for my bedroom, and laundry room shelving. I paid him a check for 50% down of the total job. The check amount was $1,482.50 and he asked that I make it out to his wife, *********************. Ive sent emails and left phone messages and nobody calls me back. I spoke to *** by phone one time, approximately six weeks ago. I asked where they were at in the process of building my furniture. She said shed get back to me in a day or two. I havent heard a word since. Ive left messages via email and phone but no response. Im angry that these people seem to be taking advantage of people by disappearing after theyve received a deposit. Unfortunately, it wasnt until after I paid them did I realize there are others whom theyve taken advantage of and scammed. Id just like my money back. Im uploading a copy of the check. And the invoice showing my deposit and the work he was supposed to do. Since I havent heard from them in more than three months(the job was supposed to be done by now), I hired someone else to do the work. I thought it was odd at the time that ******* asked me to make the check out to his wife and not his business. I certainly wont do that again! I just want my money back. Thanks for helping!
