On 11/15/22, I was told to tow my car and that they'll look at it and call with an estimate. So, I towed my car on 11/28/22 to shop and waited for a call. No call, so I called 12/2/22, to be advised someone will get back to me soon. Over the next 2 weeks I called and left several messages with ****/receptionist. On 12/19/22, I received a called from **** or the owner, telling me I need a transmission cost $4200. I was floored... I replied are you sure? I didn't need a transmission before the engine installed. So, the following week I purchased a transmission ($1500) it was delivered to shop from ********* (recv'd 1/4/23). On 1/7 & 1/9, I called re: transmission and how long for the install/repair. On 1/10/23, I was called and advised that the car it missing parts and I told **** all extra parts are in a tub in back seat. On 1/10/23 ******* called wanting to show me all of the missing parts and that he's missing a bracket for ********. He called me on 1/12/23 to tell me that he was going to have to move the car out of the bay for other customers. On 1/16/23, I called to tell him I put the parts I found in a plastic bag on front passenger floor. 3 weeks later (2/4/23), he advised the part is not in bag. I went over during lunch to request give me a part that I need to buy from dealership. He said he had no idea, so I began to do some research. I asked him can you at least start putting in the transmission. This is when he told me that it might not be the transmission... Whaaat!!!! This means that they hadn't even looked at my car. I took money I didn't have to purchased a $1,500 transmission. He said that he wanted to get ******** bracket part on and he will know for sure if I need a transmission. I said what am I suppose to do with an extra transmission? He said maybe you can return it. I said hopefully, it's been longer than 30 days... 2/20 I spoke with the owner to plead my case and position. He assisted me with what part I needed to look for or buy. Come to find out, the part is in the car in the plastic bag from 1/16/23. On 2/28, I was told that my car was ready (cost $960), and that the mechanic drove it for 5mi and it drove good. If I have any problems just bring it back, WOW!!! I'm excited, I came on 3/3/23 at my lunch hour to pay and pick up my car. It wouldn't even turn on, it had to be jumped, we charged the car for a bit and it wouldn't stay on. It kept sputtering and I tried to keep it from stalling out, but I couldn't drive .3mi before I was stranded. I called *******/mechanic and he said that he will get someone to come and pick me up ASAP, I ended up walking back to shop to my daughters car I left there. I called 1 week later on (3/10) Friday, no news. I called 3/11, no news. I called on 3/13 Monday, now news. I called 3/14, I'm told that they're ******* short and it won't be done this week at all. I just CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE, I broke down in tears, I said I should be given an award for my patience. I'm trying to be considerate, but I need a car. I've been paying $550/mo and I can't remember the last time I drove my car. **** told me about his motorcycle (huh!!) and other cars being fixed, but my car has been paid for and broke down practically in front of the shop 2 weeks prior to my call. I have just as much priority as the other cars being repaired. Why am I being pushed aside? Why don't I matter?Update: Finally, on 4/4/23 I sent my husband to shop. They are unaware that I was married, I was trying to handle this issue on my own. He was trying to help, because he's tired of me not having a car. **** told him that it's a timing issue and we don't do that type of work. ??? I believe they were taking advantage of me BEING A WOMAN. Why couldn't they of told me that info and I take it elsewhere. When I approached **** with my concerns of them taking advantage of women. He could care less, completely uninterested and gave me my key. The next day I had it towed to the Land Rover Dealership.

Took my 2016 Ford Fusion to Dual Automative for repairs. They next day received a call from ***** stating my gear shift cable was broken and needed to be replaced. I consented to the repair. A few hours later I get a call from
***** stating he has replaced my gear shift cable, but now the key won't come out of the ignition and it will not go in park. I was shocked to hear this when the key was not getting stuck in the car before. ***** stated I needed a neutral control safety switch which is inside the transmission and that they don't do those ************* suggested I take my car to A 1 for transmission repairs. I decided to go with my own shop and they immediately discovered that not only wasn't the gear **** cable replaced that there was a broken bushing that connects the cable to the transmission. There was no transmission issue with my car at all to begin with. The gear shift cable ***** said was replaced was on back order by Ford, so it was never replaced to begin with. I kindly went back to Dual Automative and requested a refund. Not only was ***** rude, but the manager didn't even have the respect to apologize or come out and speak to us about this fraudulent repair and recommendation. The way they handle the situation was unethical and I will never trust them again. Beware if you take your car there and ***** gets a hold of it. My car was in worse shape that brought it. Thank goodness for the honest repair shops that still exist.
