This matter is inference to Mauldin ************* (and *** services). I was unfortunately involved in an incident where my vehicle blew a tire on ***** South's express lane. I was pulled safely onto an emergency shoulder and contacted my insurance provider for roadside assistance. My company was able to dispatch services and I was waiting (***** mins) for their arrival. While I was waiting GA **** services noticed my vehicle stopped. They approached the vehicle and inquired if I had a spare tire, which at the time I did not. They also inquired if I had contacted roadside services, which I informed them I had. They told me that they needed to contact their own roadside in the event mine didn't show in time. Mauldin *** services arrived less than 1 minute before my privately designated wrecker service. My car was not hooked up because I refused service from them, as they were dispatched by a third party, and I read the unfortunate complaints about their business. My tow provider moved in front of where their tuck was, bed still down, and refused to move. I legally have a right, within a 30 minute allowance to have a private tow service dispatched. The driver, *****, aggressive refused to allow my provider access to my vehicle and blocked their path intentionally. The **** officer also aggressively made them leave, even after I had refused their service and my truck was not hooked up. I verbally stated I did not wish them to handle my tow. They endangered my tow provider, ******** towing, and further kept me in a dangerous situation on a busy highway. Eventually the cops forcibly made me go with this tow service. I would have incurred no outside fees and had my vehicle repaired the same day. This tow company charged my an out-of-pocket $225 fee, only accepted in cash, and would not deliver my vehicle without the cash payment. The driver was hostile, violated my personal space, and insulted me. I want a full refund or intend to proceed with civil and criminal charges.
