I purchased a Navien Hot water unit 1 , 1/24/22 . water heater blew up in freezing conditions 12/24/22. We placed a heat electric tape around the plumbing and an hot water wrap bag to protect the unit.. 12/27/22 I went to City plumbing to obtain parts. . I was informed the company has no parts and the warranty was good for a year . i was informed they have no service , no repairs, no parts but only sell the units and to contact Tech support in Calif and possibly parts could be located there or Korea but that i could not purchase the parts from Navien only through City plumbing once i identified the damaged parts . In desperation I bought a new unit from City plumbing and transported in the backseat of my truck on the afternoon of 12/27/22 to my *************/28/22 my plumber removed the unit 2from its cardboard box, styrofoam and found several fittings cracked and broken and ice in those fittings . .I went and purchased unit 3 city plumbing . . The plumber installed unit 3 . i have been customer since 2006 and have had a account for many years. When I attempted to return unit 2 ******* said he would like to investgate and talk to ******. I ask for assistance in identifying parts damaged in unit 1 . It was agreed that i could drop off unit 1 to be evaulated and if the product exploded from ice, defective parts, or try to determine what happen . 1/6/23 i was instructed to pick up my two units by ***************** . I traveled to City plumbing and met with ************** . He made some statements that were false, amazing and asinine . He stated that the " warranty was only for the company not the consumer it protects them "and he said that everyone knows that ****** Hot water heaters are tested at the factory for leaks and water remains in the unit ! And me storing the heater inside in my truck was the same thing of leaving the unit in rain and advised his ware house never goes below 37. I learn the warehouse wasn't heated. Advised I own unit 2. I left 2 under protest by him.
