            I applied for an apartment in the middle of August at Embarcadero Club Apartments. I paid $123.50 which included an application fee and a background check fee. And my mother also paid $123.50. Within 2 weeks they called and stated that I was denied because I work on tips and they were not sure how often I would make tips. That statement was so disrespectful and rude. My sister who is a traveling nurse reapplied since I got denied for the apartment. The application was put in 2 weeks before today. They called my sister and told her that she was also denied because she did not have a steady job. Unbelievable. At this point, my sister and I were upset and confused because we wasted time and money for almost a month. The only thing that I want back is my money because they wasted my time. It shouldn't have taken them 2 weeks just to tell me and my sister the nonsense they told us. All they're doing is taking the applicant(s) money and then denying them. I'm sure they've done it to someone else too.

            My AC unit has been out for 2 weeks with the apartment consistently ***** degrees. Ive been having to stay elsewhere for the time being while no one including management seem to understand the magnitude of this issue. I can hardly get anyone to answer the phone because it just hangs up, no voicemail system. Theyve expressed that there are only 2 maintenance workers for 400 apartments. Apparently they are extremely behind and are only taking care of AC units meaning they will not be prioritizing any other type of work order. Not something a resident wants to hear. Especially because I had to take a shower recently at my apartment & the hot water didnt work. And Ive also had a work order for a light fixture put in multiple times since November 22 that has yet to be fixed. So at this point the unit is becoming completely not habitable. Ive been here for 2 years and these types of issues didnt occur until they changed management. Its becoming an absolute nightmare to live here. They are apart of a large corporation Ventron so im not sure why they havent been able to send help until they are staffed appropriately. Avoid this place at all cost.
