    I custom ordered a couch and two recliners from Lazy Boy in November 2021 with help from sales associate ****. **** told us that the furniture would be ready for delivery to our house in four months. We ordered from Lazy Boy after we heard this as we had looked at several other furniture places who quoted us 6+ months to order furniture. I paid $500+ deposit to custom order the furniture. I was not told the deposit was non refundable or told to sign something that said deposit was non refundable. We received no updates on furniture. I called in Feb and was told delivery still planned for end of March. I did not receive call from Lazy Boy in March. Called in April and was told delivery date estimated for May and that the furniture was not even in production yet due to difficulty obtaining materials. We called lazy boy and explained situation to associate who answered phone who directed us to ****. **** answered the phone saying "I do not know why you are being so picky, I told you it was going to be 6-9 months." Which was untrue, we were told 4 months. **** was very rude during entire conversation and even the manager denied refund. **** even told us we most likely would not received furniture in May. I understand materials are hard to come by due to the unforeseeable state of the economy. However, I would not have ordered the furniture if **** was honest with delivery timeline. Furthermore, I do not believe, considering the unforeseeable state of the economy and potential mix up of time of delivery estimation secondary to this, that it is unfair to ask for deposit back, especially since I was not told the deposit was non refundable. Additionally, I do not think requesting refund of deposit is unfair considering sub par customer service in that we were never updated on furniture status, provided other resolution or even offered apology.

    Everyone was very helpful and had a good experience. Have not received furniture yet but hopefully will have just as good experience.
