How does Get a Quote work?

When consumers search on BBB.org’s business directory for local businesses, they can submit a form that collects detailed information on the services they need.

Get a Quote enables them to view your business’s BBB rating, verify your BBB Accreditation status, and easily request a quote.

Users can also submit photos pertaining to their request.

Once a request is submitted, your business receives a notification delivered directly to you through email or text message, whichever you prefer, where you can then respond.

What information will I see in the consumer's request?

You'll be able to see the consumer's contact details, their general request description, industry specific questions, and any additional notes or uploaded files, like photos.

What happens if I do not respond to a request?

If no response is received within 24 hours, and if the consumer has opted in to receive quotes from multiple businesses, the system will automatically forward the request to other nearby BBB Accredited Businesses in the same industry.

You will not receive a notification when a quote is forwarded, but the consumer will be notified that their request has moved on due to non-response or rejection.

Does it cost money to use Get a Quote?

No. If you’re a BBB Accredited Business, this benefit is available to you.

How will my BBB Business Profile change if I sign up for Get a Quote?

As long as you have an email address on file with BBB that is designated as "Get a Quote," the Get a Quote button will show up on your BBB Business Profile. You have the option to select other phrases for the button besides “Get a Quote,” like “Get Pricing,” “Make a Reservation,” etc. This will also show up in BBB Directory search results next to your business’s name.
