They sold me a 2015 Tahoe with a bad transmission. I have the service manager look at it and he said it felt fine but the whole car was shifting between every gear. The next day the service tech drives it and says the transmission is bad. They wouldn't give me a refund and assisted they fixed it and had my vehicle for a month and never contacted me once and gave me an updateReview from Tracy S

My experience was very disappointing they should be ashamed of themselves. They had a special advertisement going about virtually paying off your vehicle no matter how much you owe this isn't true it is false advertisement and on top that after evaluation of my trade in they told me they found a vehicle with in my budget requirements that took my vehicle as trade which did have negative equity and payment for $350 they had me test drive the vehicle and and after test drive they reiterated again that they can make a deal but when they came back was totally different tune. They said they cannot accept my vehicle because the negative equity was too much but I do qualify a loan and my payments would be over $500. I told him again that I needed to trade in my car then they said well can somebody you know take over your payments for your that vehicle that was just wrong the way I was treated. After the evaluation of my trade in vehicle they knew that they would not accept my vehicle as trade in so they should have told me right then that they could not do a deal with me but instead they just misled me that this deal was going to go through and have my hopes up I'm very disappointed in this car dealership and I will not come back to this place and I'll tell everybody how I was treated.Review from Brandon C

I went there to sell my car to them they went out to look at it came back and said it be transmission and turbo was going out I went to repair shop and they told me there was nothing wrong with my car I feel like I couldn’t trust there word they said they pay over Kelly blue book when they don’tSerpentini Chevrolet Tallmadge Response

*******,It sounds like your experience wasn't what we strive for with all of our customers and I wanted to reach out to you. When appraising vehicles, our team does the best they can at determining what could be wrong with a vehicle. Without having the vehicle fully diagnosed in our service department, they are just estimates. Your vehicle has a hesitation issue on acceleration. Your model of vehicle has a history of turbo and/or transmission issues around 100k miles which is where you are at. That source of that hesitation could be either one or both is some cases..We do offer to pay over KBB when buying vehicles from consumers but they have to be rated a 10/10 in order to receive that kind of money. We are unable to offer over KBB value for a vehicle with existing issues, especially what we believe your vehicle has. I apologize for you not feeling that your visit went well. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY, it isn't dead after all!!! FAR exceeded my expectations on EVERY level, YOU WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF!!! This dealership actually cares and demonstrated this on levels that I will honestly never forget!!!Nothing makes a woman more nervous than buying a car (especially those of us who know next to nothing about cars), and when I fell in love with an SUV at this dealership, I was cautious and nervous.****** put me at ease and guided me through the process with so much kindness and sincerity, I feel like I made a new friend! I felt very secure in my trade-in, a very fair exchange price was offered and the team made sure to get me in the road quickly and in my dream car.But where Serpentini earns my loyalty, and should earn your business, was what transpired after. Without getting into specifics, an issue did arise that any other dealership would have shrugged off or dismissed. ****, a manager within the sales department, rose to the occasion. His dedication to my safety and my concerns was unparalleled; honestly I'm still in utter disbelief at how well I was taken care of, what lengths he went for my needs as a customer, and wish I could do more than this review.Please, PLEASE do yourself a favor and buy from Serpentini if you want absolute peace of mind. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS! They ruined my credit when I told them over and over to only run my credit at chase bank and they completely ignored me and ran it at 4 places. I left unhappy with the monthly payment and they called back the next day with a better offer and guess what same exact monthly payment they tried to play me like a fool but good thing Im not stupid.Serpentini Chevrolet Tallmadge Response

*****, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Our goal is to give our customers a WOW experience and it looks like we failed at that in this instance. I noticed in your comments you mentioned that we ruined your credit by sending your application to 4 lenders. I want to clarify that sending your application to multiple lenders does not affect your credit. The credit bureaus are no longer allowed to penalize consumers for shopping for the best loan program. This was changed years ago. The only time your credit will be impacted in a negative manner is if you shop at multiple dealers and do not purchase something within a 30 day time frame. The reason we shop your application to multiple lenders is to get the best loan terms available to you. Was contacted from a sales rep pushing me to file a credit app. I complied, submitted all requested documentation and pre-approved. Two days later someone contacts me to schedule an appointment. I drive over an hour to get there. The sales agent then tells me the motor is blown up on the trade in .(The same vehicle I just drive 70 mph on cruise control with no issues). He then tells me that I would need a co-signer to be eligible. I question about the pre-approval the hard inquiry credit application I reluctantly filled out. He shrugs his shoulders.Initial contact was made through a social media ad claiming 100% guarantee approval. Our goal is to provide 100% satisfaction to our customers. We also understand that there are times where we are unable to accomplish that goal. Without getting into your personal information on a public forum, there were reasons why we are unable to make the vehicle work that you picked out. We did secure an approval for you on a different vehicle but from what I am understanding, you were only interested in one vehicle. Regarding your trade, our appraiser found major mechanical issues that would result in us being unable to retail your vehicle. This will affect the value drastically. Vehicle was brought in for collision repair. Car radio was working when I brought the vehicle in, upon pick up car radio not working. Told I would be responsible for a diagnostic test and repair to the radio. Very uncooperative and unwilling to rectify the problem. They did not look over my vehicle prior to pick up and inspect for damages related to a rear collision. They only glossed over the bumper. K*******, We understand your frustration on this matter. The repair we made to replace your rear bumper cover and brackets required no work to be done in your vehicle. At no time was a technician working on the inside of your vehicle or on anything related to your radio. There is nothing that we could have done in the process of replacing your rear bumper cover that would have affected your radio in any way.When you picked up your vehicle, you were very happy with the work that we did to your car. You made direct comments that the work looked great! When the radio was mentioned, we had to follow the protocol that Progressive requires which is you must sign an authorization for diagnosis of the issue to determine if Progressive would be covering the repair. That authorization states that if Progressive denies the claim, you are responsible for the diagnosis. That is standard with all insurance companies. We have to follow the guidelines set by the insurance companies. If you are not happy with their process, I recommend you talk to your agent directly. From past experience, insurance companies typically do not repair radio's when an insured has a rear bumper cover replaced.I hope this gives you a better understanding of the process we have to follow. The technician called me stating that there were wires behind my bumper. Those wires were not placed back on or left on the vehicle. Also my original bumper came in with rear parking sensors. The new bumper does not match what was brought in. And again, the radio was in working condition prior to my vehicle being brought in. I also did not make those comments about the bumper looking nice, because I was never given a walk thru of the vehicle upon pick up.
