We bought a CERTIFIED 2017 Ram **** Laramie from these guys about 18 months ago. Nice vehicle. Sales guy was great. The key word here is CERTIFIED. Easy peazy. When you buy certified, you expect what that implies. Turns out the previous owner did a hack job of installing HID headlights and replaced other lights with LEDs. Fast forward to December 2020. While driving to work at 0 dark:30 my headlights went totally dark. They came right back on. It happened again and I took it to another Dodge dealership for service and mentioned the lights. There was now moisture in the assembly. Thinking my extended warranty might be useful in this case. It wasnt. Dodge had a bulletin about the moisture and they did the fix. Didnt work because the HID hack job damaged the seal in the assembly. This dealership determined the cause of the issue and showed me where the headlamp assembly had been modified and silicone used to close the hole created during the hackjob. Bottom line, the Buckeye Dodge Superstore refused to do anything about this and although I bought a CERTIFIED truck and extended warranty from them, they say theres nothing they can do. Theres wrong with being able to sell a warranty on something CERTIFIED and then say they wont fix it because modified headlamp assembly isnt covered. Feel so cheated. The CERTIFIED status means nothing in this case. The warranty is useless. My lights are still screwed and Im paying out of pocket for the repairs of my less than Certified, Certified vehicle. Shame on Buckeye Dodge Superstore.
