On July 16 and 17 of 2022 I reserved 2 nights at Key Inn in located in ********* **. After checking in to the room with my wife and daughter we noticed dirty sheets on the bed, a flickering light in the bathroom, and food left by someone else in the refrigerator. The bed was dirty as well. After about 10 minutes my family and I decided to check out and when notifying the woman at the front desk she told me to call back the manager at the front desk in the morning to get a refund for the 2 nights that were reserved. The total charge for the 2 night stay was $134.86. It took at least 3 days to reach the manager at the Key Inn motel and he told me that the I would receive a refund but the refund never happened because I got charged $134.86 on my ** bank debit card on 7/18/22 for 2 nights even though the manager promised me I would receive a full refund. I decided to dispute this charge with my bank but when they issued me a provisional credit for the $134.86, Key In disputed it and ** bank ended up reversing this provisional credit on 10/12/22. Upon calling ** bank they told me to contact Key Inn and settle this dispute with them directly. I tried calling them several times and only ended speaking to a front desk manager who told me to call back the next morning so that I can be issued a full refund because the computers were down at the moment. When I did call back the next morning several times no one answered the phone. What I don't understand is why they did not issue me a full refund as promised The next thing I don't understand is since they did not issue me a full refund why did they charge me for 2 nights when I checked out of the motel after 10 minutes of checking in to the room. Based on their cancellation policy written on their website if a guest cancels within 24 hours they will be charged for a one night stay but they ended up charging me the full 2 night stay amount of $134.86.
