      Sizing chart posted is not remotely accurate. I have a 45" chest and the jacket I purchased had sizing that went 42-44" for a large and 46-48" for XL. I went with the XL to ensure it would fit obviously and it completely swallowed me. So big. Luckily they have free exchanges but they do not have free return shipping. It cost me an additional $75 to send it back for an exchange. Just received the Large size and it is still too big. I can almost fit another small person in there with me, the sleeves are too long and the collar doesnt fold over correctly. Very disappointed.

      This jacket is listed as a full size cut, which is a size larger. We always ask a customer their height and weight to assist in sizing if asked. We do offer the replacement shipping at no additional charge, however if the shipping to us cost $75.00, then it was shipped expediated, as ground shipping does not cost that much. As that is a new jacket, the collar may not be conditioned yet and fold over as well as the customer wants, (it will over a short period of time), I do not believe the customer reached back out to us after he received the large, so we were not aware that he was not happy with the jacket. As a Licensed jacket from Lucas Films, it has certain specifications we meet and we rarely see a jacket come back. If the customer would like to return it, that would be fine just as it is posted in our return policy, we have no problem refunding the customer if he is not happy with his purchase.

      Customer purchased and wore his jacket, then sent several emails to us that he noticed approximately one inch of dye rubbed off of back panel fold. We inspected the returned jacket and there was no defect or blemish found, only excessive wear on several parts of the jacket. We repaired his jacket at no charge, however customer is now requesting a refund after wearing the jacket for several weeks and informing us he was going to give us a bad review if we did not refund him in full. We only offer exchange/ repairs on worn items per our policy and his jacket is repaired and ready to be returned to customer no extra charge.

      This is completely false, and I have the “receipts,” as they say. I provided “*****” with my order number in my initial email. I had only received the jacket and worn the garment 2x, walking around the block. In the arm pleat there are three 2-3” marks where there was clearly a machine or dye error during final processing. I did not notice the mark right away as it’s in the pleat of the arm. I returned the jacket, along with the father rude communication from “*****,” who appears from other BBB comments to never be wrong. My credit card company felt the same way and issued a refund for the garment (which has not been shipped back to me, that’s false information).

      I really wanted to give these guys a chance. I ordered an a2 flight jacket on 1/29/23. I emailed 2/5/23 I believe, and was then told the jacket had oversold, but that they were expecting production to finish 2/15. That date arrives, with no communication from uswings.. I called to check and was told we havent received it in yet, call next week repast this for 2-3 more weeks with the result of canceling my order STILL waiting to receive said jacket. I understand the nature of custom made items, I just feel had I known from the beginning that the jacket was oversold, I wouldve maybe reconsidered. I will say that the ladies in customer service I spoke with were amazing and so very patient. Honestly, Id probably be willing to give them a chance again, if communication wree a little more forthcoming

      We apologize, the jacket was oversold and due to a computer error, not listed in our system as being on backorder. With some unforeseen production delays, we are just now getting them out of production expecting them in this upcoming week. We also apologize for the lack of communication as we were being given different dates for production completion.

      I make a order in june 3 of this year and after 13 days my order didnt show or any signs of tracking number so i decide to call after i spoke with two different customer representatives i ask for spoke with a supervisor a guy the name **** answer me and said that was a back order on of the item and they send a email explain that (first lie) after. I explain all the situation he said that the item shows on that morning (june 16) and he gonna send that right away and the order is gonna be at the shipping address no later that Tuesday june 21. I ask for the next day shipping and he state that company dont gonna pay for that no matter was the situation was. Now i got the tracking number today and *** said that the order is shipping to other state, so i call again and transfer me to the guy **** again and he said cant be possible cuz he did send it to the righ address after a little diacutil. He said is gonna send it again but is gonna be delivery on Wednesday june 22. All that with a really bad attitude cuz he ask me if i dont want that they give me the money back i said shipping and lets see if you dont lie to me again. I wait if that show on wednesday if not gonna make a complaint asking for my money and the money a lost trying to get a simple online order

      Purchased size 46 Cockpit USA WWII A2 jacket on 11/29/21 for $520. Received jacket on 12/18. Did not fit as desired. Emailed US Wings to request exchange for 48L. Sent jacket back on 12/23. Was notified on 12/27 that the L size was $40 more. Made add’l payment on 12/28. Sent email requesting status of 48L jacket on 1/6/22. No response. Called on 1/11 for status of 48L jacket. Was informed US Wings was waiting for jacket from Cockpit and I’d receive an update on 1/12. Called on 1/14 to check on status as they did not call on 1/12. Was told I’d receive an update on status on 1/17 or 1/18 via email/phone. I called Cockpit on 1/20 to see if jacket was in stock. They said both Brown/Mahogany colors in stock. Called on 1/20 to check on status yet again as they did not call me on 1/17 or 1/18. Rep deferred me to owner when I said I was likely requesting refund. Owner accused owners of Cockpit as liars and that he was going to stop doing business with them. Ended conversation with agreement of either a different jacket from US Wings or a full refund. I said I’d call back with decision. Called on 3/8 to request refund. Called on 3/21 to ask for status as no refund and no communication had been received. Rep stated there were no notes that I requested refund but would add notes. This was same rep I spoke to on 3/8. Called on 3/25 to again check on status. Same response as that on 3/21. I requested he resolve it immediately but said he couldn’t. He said for best resolution I should email owners wife. Emailed owners wife on 3/25 to further communicate refund request. Email received from owners wife on 3/31 acknowledging refund request, but also said that the jacket was available to ship and wanted to know how to proceed. Emailed owners wife on 3/31 confirming refund. On 4/11 called credit card company for card used to file a dispute for the charges for this order. Received email on 4/12/22 that $520 of the jacket has been refunded. Still awaiting the $40 portion refund.

      ****************, we received your custom name tag and jacket order which was completed and shipped to you. We received your jacket for exchange for a larger size, and have been in contact with you the entire time with updates informing you the size you requested was in production. You informed us you wanted to wait for the jacket and have your custom name tag sewn on by us. It was not until end of March that we received your request to cancel your exchange order. Once we received your request, your order was cancelled and sent to refunds. The company that manufacturers the jacket in question is not US Wings, but Cockpit USA and they are going through a transition period where they contacted Covid throughout their company and delayed all business transactions. We apologize for the delay but it was totally out of our control, however we refunded the jacket order in full, including the additional exchange cost of $40, once we received your request to cancel, before receiving your complaint. We too have experienced difficulties doing business with Cockpit *** but are fully aware of business interruptions during Covid 19.       Your definition of "have been in contact with you the entire time with updates informing you" must be different than mine. As mentioned in my original comment, I made payment for the larger jacket on 28 Dec 2021. I didn't hear anything after that, so I contacted ** Wings via email on Thursday, 6 Jan 2022. I received no response so I called on 11 Jan 2022. Only due to my reaching out was I informed that ** Wings was waiting for Cockpit *** to deliver the jacket. I was told during the 11 Jan call that I would receive an update the following day, 12 Jan 2022, to let me know when I might expect my jacket to be shipped. I did not receive a follow up call, so I called again on 14 Jan 2022. I was told that ** Wings still didn't know, and that they would provide an update on 17 or 18 Jan 2022. Once again, ** Wings didn't follow up so I called back on 20 Jan 2022. Regarding Cockpit ***, I contacted them directly to ask about inventory on the specific jacket I ordered through ** Wings and I was told by them it was in stock. That took me 5 minutes on the phone. Ultimately, I ordered this jacket directly from them and received it promptly, thus it appears the ** Wings accusations are false.Regarding the refund, I requested that on 8 Mar 2022. I did not receive it until 12 Apr 2022, the day after I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.

      ****************, your exchange request for a jacket that was back ordered by the manufacturer is entirely reliant on when the manufacturer ships. After you requested to cancel your exchange order, your order was refunded to both PayPal and to your credit card. After you were refunded, you filed an additional claim with your credit card company through PayPal. We believe this complaint is false, you cannot be refunded twice for same purchase. Your funds were given back to you before you left your review with BBB on 4/13/22, as stated by you in your original comment. All records are on file w/ both banking agencies and your refund is complete. ********************** ** **********************, ****

      I thought my recent experience with US Wings was a one-off, but after reading other reviews, it seems to fit the pattern. A company that must get the majority of its business from online orders ought to be able to handle returns, to do so in a timely manner and to keep their customers informed. ** Wings failed on all counts with me. What started out as a straightforward return ended up being anything but, leaving me without the jacket I had paid for or the refund I was assured was forthcoming. In fairness, ** Wings didnt create the problem. The problem was caused (inadvertently) by my bank which cancelled and reissued the card used for the original purchase. Although ** Wings knew this, they made no effort to help me resolve the problem. Instead, they offered me store credit and then stopped answering my emails.

On Feb 12, 2022 you indicated to us that the credit card you used for purchase had been cancelled by your bank, and you requested we refund to a different credit card. It is not the policy or business of US Wings to issue funds onto a different credit card other than what was used for purchase. The banking law is clear and precise. No funds can be refunded onto a different credit card other than what was used. However, we did offer you store credit for your refund, just like other business throughout the world. We put this in writing and emailed this information to you. We are sorry, this is the banking policy, not US Wings. As a long upstanding business, we cannot be intimidated by a poor review, as we have stated before this is a banking policy regarding transactions. You have been a steady customer with us since 2016, and we even extended our return policy for your last purchase return. We appreciate your business and always aim to please our customers but cannot violate any banking laws in doing so.       I sent my A2 Lambskin bomber jacket that I have worn for over 30 years to US Wings for repair. This is not the first time the jacket has been restored. According to their reviews on their website.this company sounds stellar! I sent it overnight, it took 10 days to get a response that they received it. I was told it would take 3-4 weeks to finish the work that I had pre-paid with my credit card. After 3 weeks I called to get an update, the excuse was the seamstress was on vacation. The second call, the supervisor was out of town! The third fourth and fifth call after 2 months, still no update. After THREE months I was told that my jacket was STOLEN! The owner refused to send me an A2 Lambskin jacket. He said he would go on E-bay and look for a 30 year old jacket for replacement. He told me I could negotiate with his insurance company

      Customer mailed his jacket to us for repair. With Covid Restrictions our initial response time was delayed, however his jacket was stolen, and upon discovery of this we did discuss it with the customer. He had informed us he had paid around $150 for this jacket about 30 years ago. We offered two options to the customer. We offered to file with our insurance company and let them take care of this for the customer, or we also offered to replace the customer jacket with a new Army Issue A2 with a value of $469.00 and refund his repair payment of $209.00. At first the customer agreed to this and we started the process for him. He later called back and said he wanted an $850 jacket for his exchange and if not his Attorney was standing by. He made this statement several times. After speaking with the owner again, he again agreed to the second offer for a new jacket from US  Wings. We mailed him the jacket which he received and we refunded his initial repair payment of $209.00 which he received and cashed. Customer and Spouse both agreed to this and all parties considered this matter resolved and closed.

      The jacket that was STOLEN was an A-2 Lambskin jacket. The owner insisted he would send me a Cowhide jacket with a value of $500.00. The Lambskin A-2 jacket advertised on his website had a price of $680.00, not $850.00! He insisted that the jacket he was sending me was worth $500.00. Since I had paid $202.90 for repairs, and the Lambskin jacket advertised was $680.00 it would be an even exchange! My stolen jacket had a lot of sentimental value, that can NEVER be replaced!. He refused and laughed at me when I asked for the LambskinA-2 jacket that was on his website for $680.00(as of now it has been removed). NEVER do business with these people. They are not trustworthy.

      US  Wings and the customer came to an agreement to refund his initial repair cost in addition to providing him a new authentic US Army A-2 Leather jacket. The customer agreed to these terms and in fact cashed the refund check and accepted delivery of the jacket. The total cost of this settlement is significantly greater than the value of his jacket.
