On December 15th I purchased a 2017 ford escape from trusty cars and credit under a license agreement. I put $1,000 down with 4 additional payments of $97.60 over the next four weeks that followed as part of my down payment. On December 20th the car began to jerk when being in gear so I called the service department to set up an appointment to have car looked at. My appointment was as set up for December 26th at 7am. The following day now December 21st me and my son were out doing Christmas shopping while at a red light the car began to smoke inside and outside. We both have health issues related our breathing and I am currently 8 months pregnant as well. I opened the sunroof and rolled all the windows down and drove the car to the nearest parking lot. My sister came and took my son and I then took the car to trusty’s cars and credit. Once there I requested to speak with the manager whose name is **** *****. He went out to the escape and could still smell the smoke himself. He than began making calls and the car was taken to the service department and I was placed into a rental car for the time being. Over the next few weeks I corresponded with shop fixing my car and the manager at Trusty’s. I was told the hold on getting the car fixed was the shipping of the transmission. On January 5th **** ***** called me and told me that he had bad news. The car would not be fixed until later this month around the 22nd and they were not willing to continue to pay for my rental until then and I had to come pick something else out or receive a full refund. Once I arrived at Trusty’s I tried to come up with ways to be able to stay in the escape. But that was not an option anymore. The manger then showed me 5 cars that he deemed comparable to the escape. The cars were older and had higher mileage and was simply not comparable. I decided to have my money refunded and collect my belongings out of the escape. Once I arrived at the shop I was told by the mechanic that the car would
