We were having plumbing issues with one of our bathrooms and contacted Pipes and Plugs. The technicians came out on 7/25 and explained that they'll diagnose the problem, clear it, and discuss how to repair whatever problem there is. We had a toilet that would back up and cause problems with how our shower and sinks drained as well. They said the problem was probably a blockage caused by a cracker pipe when tissue gets snagged and it would need repair. They would run a snake and camera, clear the blockage, and discuss correction after it's cleared. The first step, diagnostics and service to clear the line, would cost $773.96. The technicians were paid after this step was completed, a receipt was given, but no more explaination. We don't know what the problem is and what has to be done to correct it. It worked for a week and the problem returned and acted just as it had before. We called Pipes and Plugs back many times after and was always told by the receptionist that someone would give us a call. Almost a month later, and we have yet to speak to anyone regarding this issue. $773.96 was paid only to have, whatever issue there is, unresolved. This is a total rip off. This company has made no attempt to correct the problem. We cannot even get a callback. We're requesting this job be done like they said they would. If the they cannot correct the problem, refund the money we paid so that we can find actual plumbers that can provide the service needed to rid us of this problem and giant inconvenience.

At my request, on November 17, 2021, two technicians from Pipes and Plugs came to my home at *********** Street in St. Martinville, LA to remove an obstruction IN the " pvc water discharge pipe" going from my washing machine to the main sewer line in my home. After about an hour of running the "rooter snake" into the pvc pipe, the technicians told me that the obstruction had been removed. They handed me a bill for $384.23 which I paid via check and they left. My wife and I then went into the utility area to check the situation out, only to find water pooled on the floor and MY TOWELS pooled in a wet lump on the floor. We were extremely disappointed in the condition of the work area as we are both 77 years old and extremely limited in our ability to cleanup such a mess! In addition to the mess we noticed that the water heater had been turned off - when we tried, we were unable to re-light the heater. We then ran through a wash cycle and immediately saw water squirting from the pvc pipe that they had run the "snake" through. I immediately called the Pipes and Plugs Office and spoke to a "receptionist" who advised that if she sent the technicians back to my home to evaluate the situation and they decided that the new problems "were not caused by their recent work, that I would then be subject to an additional service call." At that point my wife was in tears - we had already wasted nearly $400.00 and now had more problems than before we called them about the pipe obstruction, so we were not about to risk paying for ANOTHER service call - especially since we are both retired and live on a fixed income. Well, we tried to restart the water heater ourselves and to find a solution to the water leak which reoccurred each time we tried to use the washing machine - to no avail! I finally had to call another independent plumber to install a new water heater (at a cost of $300.00) and to locate and repair the water leak from the pvc pipe ( at an additional cost of 100.00) which he advised likely happened when the technicians forced the snake into the pipe to dislodge the obstruction. My blood really began to boil when I began to reflect on the fact that in one week I had paid Pipes & Plugs nearly $400.00 to remove a pipe obstruction, then pay someone an additional $100.00 to repair the damage caused by Pipes & Plugs - PLUS - AN ADDITIONAL $1000.00 TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL A NEW WATER HEATER which in my view was likely due to the co-lateral damage caused by the technicians activities ! I then called Pipes & Plugs (on 11/24/2021) and spoke to Mike ******** (Service Manager) who offered to reimburse me for the $100.00 pipe leak repair which I incurred - I told Mr. ******** that, in addition, I fully expected to be reimbursed for the nearly $400.00 that I had given them to remove the pipe obstruction in view of the fact that my wife and I suffered the stress of fighting a water leak which they had caused, for a FULL WEEK! He advised that he would have to discuss the matter with the Company Owner - I asked him to have the Owner call me to discuss the matter further. I HAVE HEARD FROM NEITHER THE SERVICE MANAGER NOR THE COMPANY OWNER SINCE NOV. 24, 2021.
