Download the Report

Life in the military comes with unique stressors that affect how consumers and families interact in the marketplace. Service members, veterans, and military spouses must be able to discern between a trustworthy business and a scammer or imposter in disguise, especially during times of change or instability.

We compiled tens of thousands of business complaints and scams reported to the Better Business Bureau in 2018 to highlight military consumers’ unique pain points when engaging with businesses. These stories and insights can be used to support marketplace education as a key pillar of financial readiness training, and educate stakeholders on the industries and issues most impacting the trust between military consumers and businesses.
