Better Business Bureau Center for Character Ethics is accepting nominations through July 11 for the 2015 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics. The 17th annual event in April will recognize companies in Northern Colorado and Wyoming whose business practices and related activities exemplify BBB’s mission of being a leader in advancing marketplace trust.
Anyone can nominate a for-profit business for the BBB Torch Awards. Although BBB Accreditation is not required, all nominated companies must be in good standing with BBB and have been in business for three or more years.
Judging is based on the six principles of the EthicalEnterprising Framework: Transformation at the top, reinforce and build, unite the team, steer performance, treasure people and enthusiastically re-invest. Final nominees will be determined by an independent panel.
Better Business Bureau Institute for Marketplace Trust provides ethics-based assessment, training and recognition programs for businesses, consumers, nonprofits and students in Northern Colorado and Wyoming through three centers of excellence: BBB Center for Character Ethics, BBB Center for Fraud Prevention and BBB Center for Nonprofit Excellence. In 2013, the BBB Institute reached more than 4,900 people via outreach and education programs.
