Nine businesses from Northern Colorado and Wyoming that have demonstrated exemplary marketplace ethics are finalists for the 2014 Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics set for April 30 at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins. The event, now in its 16th year locally, is presented by the BBB Institute for Marketplace Trust.
Criteria for the BBB Torch Awards is based on the six TRUST! principles of EthicalEnterprising: Transformation at the Top, Reinforce and Build, Unite the Team, Steer Performance, Treasure People and Enthusiastically Reinvest.

Seventeen businesses were nominated for the award by peers, colleagues and customers. Entries were prepared by business students from the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming and judged by an independent panel.
This year’s BBB Torch Awards ceremony will feature the introduction of the new BBB Center for Character Ethics and include the presentation of the 13th annual BBB/Rotary Business Ethics Scholarship and performances by the Vanguard Combo from the University of Northern Colorado.
