    We contacted Harmony Hearth and Home to get an estimate for a new fireplace insert. They came to our home on December 15, 2021. We finally received an estimate on January 21, 2022. We were told our fireplace was an insert and they could “pull” it out and insert the new one. No where in the estimate did is state they would be tearing out our tile and mantle. We decided to proceed since we were told it was just an insert. I paid $4,606.46 on February 1, 2022. Finally got a call our fireplace was on the truck on March 13, 2022. After 2 weeks we called to see when they would install our fireplace, was told it was still on the truck and would call us back. My husband called March 25 and said if the fireplace was not going to be installed by April we wanted to cancel. They called us back and an April 1, 2022 date was set. On the morning of the install Mark and an office worker came to put our fireplace in. Mark stated okay I’m going to rip out the tile and mantle, I told him we didn’t talk about ripping out the tile and it was not on our proposal. Before my husband could get to the house he started to demo the tile, stated since we already ordered we could not cancel or refund the fireplace. My husband spoke to Mark how we were never told they would have to demo our tile, all he said was sorry and said we could pick some tile people didnt want. They offered to replace tile for an additional $600?! I was told no one would take on that tile job and basically they were the only option. After the fireplace was installed, the wrong inspection was scheduled and we had to miss some hours at work twice. They never took accountability and kept saying miscommunication which if anything it was them and the workers. I just got another bill for $773.75 in the email today. When my $4600 deposit should have covered some of that bill. My husband and I did find someone else to place the tile for $400. I feel I shouldn’t have to pay the $773.75 bill and just want to be done with them.
