Complaint: Fisher Mechanical were called for a plumbing issue my mother was having. They came and looked at her problem and told her they would be back to fix it because they had broke the shower valve while performing the work and they did not have the parts, (they say because it was so old). She said ok and asked what the charge would be. They said $450.00. She said that was fine. They went back and repaired the problem, never discussed parts or how much would be spent on them. She received a bill Materials to repair piping in crawl space, install new tub and shower valve for a total of $250.00 (again part were broken by service person)Labor in the amount of $537.00. It does not show how many hours but, they were there for not much more than 4 hours total. I personally phoned Fisher Mechanical and asked what the hourly rate is, I was told by the woman that answered the phone $80.00/hour. In my calculations that adds up to approx. $134.25 per hour on my mothers bill. I feel they are taking advantage of my 83 year old elderly mother and it is not the way to do business. They never once mentioned to her that the bill would almost double from the quote given or would she like them to continue or do less or anything else. In my past experience and also in my line of work, services and or parts are not purchased above and beyond the quoted amount without approval from the customer. She has already paid them $500.00 and I have asked her not to pay any more until this is brought up through BBB. I don't feel it is right to do this to an elderly person, it would have been different had it been approved but, it wasn't and she does not have this kind of money laying around to pay businesses taking advantage. I would also ask that any correspondence be emailed to the email provided or contact me ****** ********* at ************, I am handling this for her.

Desired Settlement: There is still a balance of $287.00 I am asking that she not have to pay any more of this bill, she has already paid $50.00 more than she was quoted.We would like to see this shown as paid in full.

Business Response: We will leave take the $287.00 off and she will have a $0.00 balance.  The $450 quote was given over the phone before seeing the exact damage.  We will also be communicating with ***** to explain the situation.
