Complaint: Mr. ****** painted my home 6 years ago. The paint faded 2 years ago. He promised to warranty the work, but has since ignored me. I hired ****** ****** to paint my new home 6 years ago. 2 years ago, I noticed the paint was badly fading - very premature for what he advertised as "premium" paint. I contacted him 2 years ago to express my concern. He drove by the house and confirmed to me that it indeed was fading and should not have been fading this soon. He promised that he would warranty the work (repaint the house) on more than 4 occasions. He never followed through. I have been trying to get him to follow through on this promise for the past 1.5 years and he has been ignoring me now for 2 months straight. It appears that he has no intention of honoring his warranty or promise to repaint my home.
Desired Settlement: Repaint my home and make good on your promise. Please honor your warranty and your word. If you are unwilling, please compensate me appropriately so I can pay a party to do so.

If the homeowner had a problem with the paint, it should have been handled by the contractor who hired the painter. The paint rep came and looked at the house and agreed it was the paint that failed, not the painter. There is no peeling, no flashing, nothing that the painter did wrong. The paint rep agreed to warranty the paint, but the labor to re-paint the house because of the faulty paint is not my responsibility. The owner's complaint needs to be taken up with the paint company representative and/or the contractor who built the house. Unfortunately that response is not consistent with the multiple promises by ****** ****** over the course of nearly two years to "come and make it right". It also doesn't address the multiple phone calls ignored once the owner tried to hold ****** to his many promises. After speaking with the paint distributor, it was his professional opinion that the painter did not use an adequate amount of paint to avoid fading. If you now claim that the labor is not your responsibility, then you shouldn't make adamant promises that you will get it done, to include exact dates, etc. The house was to be put on the market over a year ago, and looks so bad that I waited for you to come paint it, as you kept promising. I lost valuable market exposure time to your lies and empty promises.
