Complaint: I called Buckhorn heating and air when the heat had gone out on my rental house. ***** came to inspect the furnace and told us we needed a new valve. He ordered the part and returned the next day to install the part. After 48 hours the heat was not working again. We called Buckhorn back and left a message because it was a Sunday. They returned the phone call Monday and set up an appointment to come by at 4pm that day. ***** did not show up at 4 and our tenant communicated with ***** and he said he would be there at 6. By 6:30pm no one had arrived. My tenant was very upset about them not showing up and about the house being freezing cold. She had called ***** multiple times as did we, desperately trying to get a hold of someone that could help us. When there was no answer we were forced to call another company to come out that night. When the other company came they said that the average furnace lasts 10 to 15 years and that ours was 19 years old. They also said that there were several problems with the furnace including the control panel that was melted! They said that no one should have ever attempted to fix this because of all the issues and that we needed a new furnace. We told them to go ahead and get us a new furnace. We figured we would hear back from ***** on Tuesday since we had called so many times. We never heard a word from him. On Thursday we received a bill for $422 from Buckhorn heating and air that was for the valve they replaced. I was very upset with the bill since the replaced valve did not fix our furnace. I was also upset because ***** did not show up to the appointment he had scheduled. I called to discuss the fact that they did not fix my furnace and that they didn't show up and in turn I did not feel that I owed them the full amount. The owner, who I believe to be ******* dad, was immediately yelling at me. He said that I did not give him the chance to fix the valve since I had bought a new furnace. I explained that I had called multiple times, left several messages and that ***** did not show up and so I was forced to buy a furnace. He then talked in circles continuing to blame me for buying a new furnace. There was absolutely not reasoning or negotiating with him. I told my wife of the terrible interaction I had with the owner, she figured she would just call and calmly ask for a better explanation. After all no one wants to pay for a service that was not done properly. He again was extremely rude to my wife. His story also started to change. He had told me we didn't give him a chance to fix it and he told her that he had no missed phone calls or messages from us, that no one had talked to us and that we were not even scheduled on the books. She tried to explain that we had left messages for ***** and he called and scheduled an appointment so the business phone wouldn't have record of our calls but ***** did. He again would not even listen and said it was not true, all the while yelling that he would send us to collections. She asked him if they stood behind there work and he said no. Wow, I definitely do not want to business with anyone that doesn't stand behind their work. He said that he didn't know what we had done to the furnace valve in those 48 hours but it was our fault. She tried to explain that our furnace is in crawl space and therefore we would never go down there so he again he started yelling. I just don't understand how people can run a business with this poor of customer service and provide such bad service in general.
