Complaint: **** from Swab concrete promised me that out concrete patio would take three days of work, pending weather. The project was started October 28th... the project took 3 weeks to complete the concrete work. We had two days of bad weather at the beginning and it has been clear since. I asked at the beginning of the project regarding the level of the concrete on the patio, **** stated that he could bring in filler so the concrete would be all one level, then upon digging everything up he told me that it could not be done. The concrete being unlevel is extremely noticeable to me and we will now have to do something to that side of the concrete to make it look better; or rip it out and redo it. I feel like this should have been addressed prior to digging everything up so we could have devised another plan, but after everything had already been started there wasn't much choice. I feel like I had to ask repeatedly for updates/communication, for **** to extend the second step on the patio in the backyard (which was never done), and for clean up. A concrete step in the garage was supposed to be poured in addition to the patio. The garage step was put off multiple times by the crew after I had made arrangements to be home several days/nights so they were able to get into the garage. When the garage step was finally put in Saturday (scheduled by Swab), it was a full day. This was never communicated to me. I had plans to be somewhere in the afternoon, so I finally left. I came back after being gone a 1 1/2 hours and the crew member from Swab was gone and my garage was wide open. I think I should have been called if he was going to leave so I could have been there. The garage was left a mess, no clean up was completed. He sat in his truck all day; when there was clean up to do in the back ground. The clean up in the backyard was completed nearly a week after the concrete was poured. I had to pick up plastic that was floating around the yard and pop bottles during the time Swab concrete workers were at my house.Due to this project taking three weeks I have had to find somewhere else for my dogs to be during the day. This has been a huge headache and expense. They have not been able to stay at the house during the day because I never knew when the crew was going to be there, mud, or wet concrete. We have been taking them out front to use the restroom for three weeks.Lately, **** and I discussed payment at the completion of the project. I thoroughly discussed all the above issues with him during this meeting. He explained that the measurements were taken directly from our design plan and he never obtained his own measurements, thus had to bring in additional concrete due to the discrepancy in measurement. **** told me the bill was going to now be over $7,000 from the original quoted price of $6,000 due to the additional concrete being brought in. This was never shared with me during the time the concrete was being poured, despite having multiple interactions with ****. After much discussion, **** and I agreed upon $5,900 because the inaccurate measuring was not my fault. **** gave me a $100.00 discount for the delay of services and the project not being up to my standards. I feel like this was a poor attempt to make things right with the costumer. In addition, **** agreed to come back on 11/18 to complete sod work since his crew did not do this portion of the "clean up." The sod work was agreed upon at the beginning to the contract if any was damaged. In front of patio there is a huge area of grass that was torn out during the project, which is now mud. I e-mailed **** on Friday 11/22 regarding the sod never being replaced, without any response from ****. I also called **** 11/27 regarding this issue, without response from him. I feel like Swab concrete's costumer service was non-existent during the entirety of this project and everything that was promised to me was not completed.
Desired Settlement: I want the sod replaced as promised by Swab Concrete and money taken off the bill for delay in services, as well as unsatisfactory services provided by the company in the competition of the project.
