My family booked a vacation on 11/4/2022. This was the day before we got there at WindCliff Vacation Homes. We Arrived 11/5/2022 to find that the home was extremely musty and mold smelling and my family immediately began having trouble breathing in the home. We followed the guidelines in the papers Windcliff provided and called their after hours #. No one answered the first time. Then we called a few minutes later and explained the situation. The woman was nice and said she would refund our card 100% that night and we could just return the keys to the dropbox. My wife and I both heard her state that nicely. So, that is what we did. We left, put the keys back, and found a different place to stay for the week. A few days later, I noticed that the charge posted on our credit card. I called and the manager answered. He said they would not give a refund. I explained what had happened and what we were told. He said he would listen to the recording and call me back. He did call back and said he would still not give a refund even though we didn't stay because of the home. No other resolution was offered at any time. He refused to provide the recording of the conversation that proves what we were told and why we stayed somewhere else. The manager "Kyle" states that is not what is in the call recording, however will not provide it and is hiding it. So, now our family had already went to another place to stay and they are forcing us to pay for a place that was unhealthy to stay in and that they had already said was fine to leave and provide us a refund. I have included a screenshot of the company we were texting to rent another cabin that evening to prove we were looking to find a mold free cabin that night after what happened.
