Read Complaint Details
Complaint: We were given an estimate of 4 hours max for labor, they charge by the hour of work. They would arrive at 8am. A different plumber showed up 45 minutes late (8:45). He did 1/2 the work, left to get a part, came back and completed the work. He even gave me an estimate for the next job and was gone by 11am. We received a bill for 4 hours of work, despite 2 hours and 15 minutes of work. At first they said he had to go get equipment but then realized that wasn't true. Eventually they dropped it to 3 hours but we are still paying for 45 minutes of work. When I called they said this plumber put on his card he started at 7:45, though they cannot account for his whereabouts before arriving here at 8:45. He had all the equipment, he left to purchase supplies between 8:45 and 11, which we are not disputing. We are disputing the time from 7:45-8:45 which we are being charged.
Desired Settlement: We would like to see the bill reduced to the price of services rendered.
I have already explained the whole situation to the customer. Our guys are paid from the
time they leave for a job, until the job is complete and they are back at the office or ready
for a next call. If she wants to deduct 80.00 she can go ahead and do that, if she would
have said that on our phone conversation I would have agreed then. I don't know how else
I can make her happy.
I will send the difference back to the customer once we get the check.
