On May 15, 2020 my son, ****, was riding a horse and was bucked off. **** hit the fence and the horse backed up and stepped on his leg which broke it. I took him to the nearest emergency room which was Medical Center of the Rockies. At that time we had ***** as our health insurance and the bills were sent through and paid. I was very surprised in January of 2022 to receive a bill from Uchealth stating that I owed them $4,127.52 for his emergency visit and that we were out of network. I then looked up my insurance Explanation of benefits(EOB) to find the summary of the claim. The summary or EOB shows that I Uchealth $1390.53 which I have now paid to Uchealth on 4/19/22. Since I received the first bill on January 3,2022 I have been in contact with Uchealth on an almost weekly basis. They told me to send them the EOB and they would send it on to the adjusters, but nothing was done. This week I was sent my final notice and was told the full amount was going to collections on May 5th. So that is why I paid the portion I knew was due. I have dealt with so many people because every time I called it was a new person, and I had to start all over again to explain my situation. The dates I called are as follows: 2/21/22 talked to Destiny, 3/1/22 talked to Quenetta also talked to Darin at ***** who also sent them an EOB, 3/8/22 talked to Tiffany, adjustment pending, 3/14/22 talked to Xonya also called *****, 3/21/22 talked to Chyrstal, working on adjustment, 4/12/22 talked to Carolynn sent EOB to adjustment again, 4/18/22 talked to Toyia and Francesca then a supervisor who told me there would be no adjustment to my bill, also called *****
