    On 12/14/21, we began experiencing problems with our furnace and I called A1 Heating & Cooling to schedule service. When I called I was told the cost would be $195 to diagnose the problem with my furnace and after diagnosing the problem I would be informed of cost to repair or replace. On 12/16/21, Manny with A1 Heating & Cooling arrived around 830AM. Manny spent about 3-4 hours trying to figure out what was wrong with our furnace. He seemed confused and spent the last hour cleaning my furnace. He told me he couldn't diagnose the problem with our furnace and his "office" called him to tell him he was spending too much time at my house and that the furnace should be replaced. I asked him to prepare an estimate to replace the furnace. He told me he would expedite the estimate to replace my furnace. I did not receive a receipt on 12/16/21. However, I received a charge on my credit card statement for $818.34 from A1 Heating & Cooling, which is way above the $195 quoted. Furthermore, as of January 11th, I've never received an estimate to replace my furnace as promised by A1 Heating & Cooling. I'm requesting a refund of $623.34 - the amount over the $195 quoted to diagnose the problem with my furnace.

    I called A1 to come out for a furnace cleaning and to look over my unit. I received a window between 12-2 Friday 3/11/2022. Please keep in mind, my furnace was functioning correctly, just needed it cleaned up because there was sunflower seeds in the unit. Two techs showed up after 2pm. One tech didn't turn off the right breaker and sparked himself. After checking over the unit and cleaning it, they told me that my blower motor was failing and needing to be replaced. Whether this is true or not, I still don't know. I feel like they sold me on a $745 motor that didn't need replaced. Once this was replaced, the techs left, I had to pick up my daughter. When I returned to my house, the fan would not shut off unless I tripped the breaker. The fan was pulling in cool air constantly and the heat source would not work currently. (I paid $1,058 for Friday) The tech returned back on Saturday, he told me that my control board had failed and the high limit switch needed to be replaced. He then jumped a burner heat limit safety switch (which should not have happened). -I called Monday around 9:30am because I didn't hear from anyone yet, they could only tell me they will get me a quote. I requested to speak with the owner. He wasn't much help, told me that he had confidence in his tech but could come out if I wanted. Later I got a quote from them for another $879 for replacing a control board and high limit switch. I did not reply and wanted to talk to someone else. - Wednesday, I contacted another company. They were extremely helpful! The two techs were at my house within 20 mins of my call. They looked over my unit and told me my control board is fine and showed me where the A1 tech jumped the safety switch they confirmed this was not something that should have been done. The new company found that when the blower motor was replaced, the original tech wired it incorrectly. The blower motor was wired to my AC unit, hence why the fan was pulling cool air. Problem was fixed!
