This business quoted me $80 for carpet cleaning of two small rooms, one of which had never been used. I hired them to come out on January 5th. They came and cleaned the carpet, which was vacant and I was not there to watch over the services. I moved out of the property and the management company requires carpets to be cleaned. They did preform the service but I was not there to check quality. Yesterday the called me for payment (Jan 20). Upon asking for payment they said I owed $115. After talking with them and reminding them they quoted me $80. They explain that additional services needed to be done to "uphold their standard of quality". We were never consulted about the change in services and the price increase that came with it. The company did not provide a written estimate, due to covid, which wasn't an issue because our property management company personally recommended them. After asking to mutually agree on a lower price since we did not authorize more services, the business refused. No action was attempted on their end to resolve the issue. The company therefore threatened to take the money from our property management company's security deposit, which is highly unprofessional. This is not how business is done. I do not want them to take advantage of those who do not have much to give any more. We are blessed to have been able to due good on our part of the contract but still feel deceived through and through.
